Default New to the forums

Good day to you, good people of Tau Online.
Since I'm posting in your "Introduce Yourself" board, I might aswell start by introducing myself.
My name is Ugene Foley, I'm 20 years old and live in Louisiana.
I've been playing Warhammer 40K for about a year and a half now. I play the Imperial Guard, I'd play as others I just love the idea of a regimental, aggressive or defensive combat unit, with decent well rounded abilities.
I'm really into WWII, my Grandpa didn't fight in the war, because he was a Combat Medic in the 8th Infantry Division, because of this, and it's my own, quite sad way to honour him, that I have a section of Guardsmen that I use as Medics. I haven't actually played with these yet 'cause I don't know if I'm allowed. I do alot of console gaming too, and I like to make or help to produce machinima's for half decent games, like Call of Duty 3/4 or Halo 3.
Thats me as far as I know.
Call me Ugene if you wish! Nuns call me Ugene.

Welcome to the forums. Enjoy you stay here.

Remember to be polite, use proper grammar and use the spell checker to ensure all words are spelt correctly.
"The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are and the Old Ones shall be. From the dark stars They came ere man was born, unseen and loathsome They descended to primal earth."

Extract from the Necronicon.

Somehow, I don't think spelling and grammar are going to be a problem with this fellow.

Welcome to the forums.

I play Catachans for much the same reasons as you play regular guard. They're Vietnam inspired, and my father was in the Marines during Vietnam. It all works out.

Hello hello ^^ Welcome to Tau Online where the Imperial Guards has been holding back the Tau incursion :P and learning all their tactics and secrets >

Things to do:
1. Read the rules
2. Use of proper grammar and spelling; use the spell checker
3. No spamming unless it's here
4. Be polite; don't flame people.
5. Don't resurrect old topics; necromancy is heresy of the highest level here in TO
6. Don't double post; use the 'Modify Message' button to edit your post

I was also inspired by the Imperial Guard. Normal human beings going against scarier and bigger things than themselves. First, inspired by General Sturnn of the Cadian 412th in DoW: Winter Assault, then the Tanith First-and_only and any other Imperial Guard stories.

Be sure to visit the Imperial Guard Board ^^

Welcome, Ugene Foley, to TO! Well, I don't think you would have a problem playing with medics in a friendly game, but just clear it with your opponent first.

Welcome to the forums, and that medic idea seems a fairly interesting one
