Default boromeer3

This is my introduction topic.

I've got a real small Tau army going and growing(404 points right now), painted Olive with Khaki armor, then black and red for other parts, badly(My first times.) painted and planned for building. Then again, accidently very well planned(I meant to put a flamer on my Crisis Suit, bad decision, but put on a Plasma Cannon instead, because it looked more like a flamer. My stealth Suit armament worked well though. My Stealth Suit leader has 60 points versus the Crisis Suit with 45. My Gun drones are OK except for one that broke during painting that needs to be "fixed" with a hot glue gun. And the Fire Warriors are rather silly...). I think I could take a picture of how they look on Dark Crusade and give you the idea.

Now then, I've never played a game myself and for the most part don't know the rules.

Welcome to the forums, enjoy your stay.

My first army was Tau as well, don't sweat the painting, I've been playing three years and it hasn't gotten much better. First thing, get the rulebook. Battle for maccrage has one and terrain for games, pretty good investment since it's the same price as the rulebook itself(and comes with the rules section of the rulebook). The acual rulebook has some extra things in it like a hobby section and killteam rules, but it's nothing special. Good luck with the army, you'll learn a lot here.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

Welcome to the site, I am Grindgobble Witherfume. I mostly play chaos, though I have fought Tau a goo number of times and own the original codex. From what I've seen here in the last five days it is a real nice place here, so you'll be able to get all the help ya need.

That's why I'm Tau. They rule ranged combat. Why kill something up close when I can do it far away? And, if I'm lucky, they never will get close enough for me to have to fight in melee.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome. I think I'll go see what threads are out there.

It sounds like some sick grenade to me...

And I have plenty of cookies, thankyou.

It's not really about "looking cool", and what looks "cool" is really up to whoever's army it is. Eldar just look ridiculous to me.
