Default Greetings!

Hi all, what a great site!

I've been away from tabletop miniatures for a long, long... well, I'll start to age myself. Fair to say, it's been a while. World of Warcraft does that to a person.

But I've returned and started finishing that Tau army I started. And upon Googling Tau I find TO, an excellent resouce for me!

I play, or have played, almost every scale, genre and time period there is, at least once. I was into Epic40k, way back when, then left that to join the ranks of the historicals. As a historical gamer all I ever heard was "40k is stupid!" so it took me some time to get beyond that and open my mind again to the joy that is the Warhammer universe (even though I love GW games like Space Hulk and Blood Bowl).

I look forward to chatting with you and collecting great ideas for my Tau!

Welcome, read the rules and enjoy the stay(nice grammar by the way, It's a small problem here).

You seem to be a veteran gamer. Good. We need those.

See you at the Tau boards, they're one of the few armies I can help you with. As a note, expect a 'blood cookie', hellsing gives them to new members.

See ya 'round the forums.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

Thanks for the welcome!

With regards to the grammar... By no means am I a grammar-nazi, but I've been a journalist and author so I try to stick to the rules.

It's refreshing to have a new guy that actually knows how to type! Welcome aboard, man.

I noticed your interest in the specialist games; if you have any background in Necromunda, there's a pretty good discussion developing in the "Other GW Games" thread.

What kind of an author are you? (Fiction, biography, etc.) I'm a journalism student at present.

Welcome, they are bad with grammar, expect a chainsaw ahem telling off if you do get something wrong.

It does help being able to understand what a person is trying to say after all.

Id love to see some pictures of your army, as i am guessing you will have some skills ??? ??? ???

Excuse me while I cough self-consciously.

I have, like, part of one Devilfish painted. Yes, that's sad. As I said originally I'm just getting back into wargaming (after a long stint in the "swallow your soul!" World of Warcraft) so most of my army isn't together yet. Also I've been an historical gamer for most of my life so painting something as... interesting... as a Tau army is new to me.

In short: I'm not sure my skills are as elite as you may think they are.
