Thought I'd pop in this forum section and introduce myself before I annoy everyone to death with my endless questions.

My name is Gustav Björklund, I'm an 18-yearold student from Sweden-land. I study Game Development, 3rd and final year in upper high school... I think. (We call it gymnasium here, not sure about the US equivalent). My interests are games, playing games, and of course developing games. Favorite games are those of Paradox Interactive (Europa Unversalis series, Victoria, Hearts of Iron) and of course the games of the One True God, Sid Meier. I'm also into history, in particular military history from the 17th century till now. The reason why I'm here is because two of my fellow classmates and I have decided to start playing Warhammer 40,000! While the two of them have many years of tabletop gaming, I'm a mere rookie. At best, I failed to assemble a couple of 1/16 models of jet fighters as a 12-yearold.

Anyway, back on topic, reason why I registered here at Tau Online Forums is because I'm going to be assembling a Tau army. Reason why I even wanted to get into tabletop was because I've always found it a bit interesting - me being an armchair general and all - and also because of Dawn of War Dark Crusade. I like the Tau. Greater Good, caste system, and foremost: Viable military tactics. And the plasma rifles. The plasma rifles are cool. That about covers it I guess, hello to y'all!

Well 40k, the actual wargame itself is completely different to Dawn of War, Tau Pulse Rifles are good, but not as good as the ones on Dawn of War, so don't get your hopes up!

The Tau Empire are a good army to play, they have some pretty cool stuff, but they ain't half as good as they are on Dawn of War, (But they are still good.)

I always found the plasma rifles to be a bit overpowered in Dawn of War, nevertheless it was an eye-opener to the world of Warhammer 40,000. Looking forward to playing the tabletop game, knowing there won't be any animations or sounds :P
