Default Hello

Hey there.

I've been kinda trolling this site for a few months as a guest and finally decided to join. I don't actually play Tau, yet, but I'm putting them down as the primary stuff I want for Christmas from my family (read: Megaforce :P). My current armies are Black Templars and Tyranids, with about 3k and 2k, respectively. I want to take a break from collecting close-combat based armies, so that basically narrowed it down to (in my mind) Tau and Imperial Guard; I like the look of the Tau better than IG, not to mention their mobility. I've read a good bit of information on this site during the past couple of months, and I love what I've read. I really think I will enjoy myself here. Well, see you around the boards.

welcome to tau online.

you've got a big bunch of units there ha i would have to work every day of my life to save up for all that.

but its good to see that you have several different armies so if you ever get tired of playing one for awhile, you can use another.

A lot of my Black Templars stuff I recieved as birthday/Christmas gifts, thankfully. ;D The 'Nids, however, I bought on my own. Oh and, yes, I do like the Predators, and the Covenant Elites (from Halo) based off them.

Sweet, another Space Marine player. The Templars look nice and neat when done right. Kinda basic with the black & white though. Gets kinda dull after a while, doesn't it? Tyranids gotta be fun to paint...just make 'em whatever color you've got sitting around. I've seen Blue & Red ones...yuck.

Actually, my Templars, while having lots of black and white, also have a lot of red and gold on them. Generally, if its just black and white on a Marine (with exception of his eyes), then he's a rank-and-file trooper. If he's got lots of gold, he's higher up, generally a character (or in a character's squad). If they've got lots of red, they're in the assault or bike squad. And if its pretty much all of these colors, then he's more than likely the Emperor's Champion. ;D Not to mention the greys I use to highlight them.

As for my Tyranids, they're dark-green-skinned with red carapaces, which are stripped with yellow. It takes after the rhyme for telling if a snake is poisonous or not: "Red touch black, him friend of Jack; red touch yellow, him deadly fellow."
