I decided to use my Mardi Gras Alliance list and pretty much wiped out the armies that dared go against the Emperor. Here is the list that I used.
1497Mardi Gras Alliance Army List Headquarters 170 Pt's Napoleon (Inquisitor) Number/Squad: 7 Wargear: Inferno Pistol, Psychic Hood, power sword Other upgrades: 3 plasma rifles 3 veteran guard,2 sages HQ : 170 Pt's Troops 125 Pt's Alpha Command Squad (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 5 Other upgrades: 4 melta guns Transport: Chimera w/ heavy flamer and multi- laser 55 Pt's Alpha One Squad (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 10 Wargear: Flame Thrower 110 Pt's Alpha Two Squad (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 10 Wargear: Flame Thrower Transport: Chimera: multi-laser, heavy flamer transport for inquisitor squad 125 Pt's Bravo Command Squad (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 5 Other upgrades: 4 melta guns Transport: Chimera w/ heavy flamer and multi- laser 70 Pt's Bravo One Squad (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 9 Wargear: Lascannon 70 Pt's Bravo Two Squad (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 9 Wargear: Lascannon 206 Pt's Sister One (Battle Sister Squad) Veteran Sister cc, pistol, book of st. Lucius's Number/Squad: 10 Wargear: Heavy Flamer, Melta-gun, Transport: Rhino w/ smoke launchers, storm bolter Troops = 910 Pt's Fast Attack 75 Pt's Sentinel Armored (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 1 Wargear: Plasma Cannon Fast= 75 Pt's Heavy Support 170 Pt's Leman Russ (Inducted Imperial Guard Unit) Number/Squad: 1 Wargear: battle cannon, heavy bolter, sponson heavy bolters 135 Pt's Exorcist Number/Squad: 1 135 Pt's Exorcist Number/Squad: 1 Heavy = 340 Pt's The tournament used three scenarios from the new book. To be honest this build did really well. It did mess over foot slogger list and list that go completely outflank. Even infiltration isn't a given so I think mobile and on the board is safe to go cause sometimes you have to field your whole army. That being said I don't remember the scenario names but will describe what I fought and what type of scenario. Game 1 was vs marines he brought the following. 10 terminators 20 marines 2 meltas 2 dreadnaughts lascanon, missile launcher, multi- melta captain with honor guard. My first question was did he had storm shields for his terminators, he told me standard terminators with 2 assault cannons. I looked at the list thinking in my mine this will not go well for the marine player. In the scenario I had to field everything on the table 12" away from my enemies deployment zone and 12" away from the sides. He had to split his forces into 3 and can deploy from any 3 edges except my deployment zone. But he can only come from 1 edge once and than have too deploy from the other 2 edges. There was 4 objectives where 3 was in the center 18" away from his deployment and one in the center of the table. I simply split my forces up to have an arc to fire at all three sides evenly. I made sure I was 24" away from all 3 sides and just waited for the shooting gallery to begin. To make a long story short his shooting did very little damage costing me a lascannon squad, rhino, chimera, and half a sister squad. While I pretty much devastated anything that came on the board. By turn 4 I wiped the army off the board. Pretty easy win. Game 2 was vs orcs. I remembered lots of str 7 shots from a squad of 15 and 3 squads of 2 missile copters and a whole buch of orcs. The scenario was supposed to be an Orc scenario with him starting half way ac cross the table. I could deploy within 1 ft but I decided to have my whole army lined up on the table edge. On the 3 turn he can have his army go off the field to stop me from getting kps. I was granted stubborn and his army had hit and run. On a roll of 4 he would go first. I winded up going first and fired upon his copters and the horde of str 7 shooting models. I didn't kill anything but lowered the squads to having 3 failed leadership test. With most of his anti vehicle running away he decided to make a run for the board edge. The battle turned into me chasing him and us shooting long range vs long range. Of course I won that contest. On turn 3 I asked him do he want to quit or procede. At this point I had 9 kps and he had 3 kps. Even with waaagh I was safely away and would blow away more orcs. He decided to concide to game. IMO if he played aggressive from the start it would had been a closer game. He felt he would had won if he went first. I doubted it cause the 5 heavy flamers and 2 regular flamers with tons of rapid fire with a battle cannon say otherwise IMO. This game lasted like 20 min after set up. Was a very quick game. But I would say at least this was my most challenging game. Game 3 was against Nids. Two undefeated players clashing against each other. I noticed the Mawlock and was hoping for a clean game. I told him I already looked at the new codex and even play nids myself so I know how the mawlock worked and wasn't worried about it since he didn't have a lictor. I crushed him rather easy with me losing 1 guard squad. But man this guy tried really hard to cheat and bully in some garbage made up rules. Anyway he ran something like this. Swarmlord 2 body guard mawlock trygon prime 2 squads of 15 genestealers with broodlord 1 squad yggmaril genestealers Not very scary with the list I have. I winded up getting the weird guard scenario since we all decided I fell in the guard scenario since they had no sister scenarios. Man this scenario screwed his list. First he could deploy on the other half of the table. Second I had to deploy 18" away from him. Which I deployed 24" cause of fleet. Than we had to put 1 objective in the middle of the board and another in the middle in between the middle and the long edge in his deployment zone and I get to place the third anywhere in his deployment zone. When he deployed his forces he had almost everything on the left while the swarm lord and 1 genestealer squad was on one side. So I deployed all my mobile troops at the right side and left a lascannon, 2 exorcist, and plasma sentinel on the left side. I placed the third objective by the one squad of genestealers. My plan was to concentrate most of my army on those two squads than push towards the middle which kinda just winded up just blowing away his army instead of taking the middle objectives. I have no ideal what he was trying to do in this game. It seem like he was intent on going for the lascanon team in the left and my exorcist. At least he sent the yggmaril to the center. But even at toughness 5 my battlecannon and plasma gunners pretty much wiped the squad. The cheating was pretty bad. First he went out of the way giving extra inches to assault my guard squad between the two rhinos. Honestly he really shouldn't been able to cause of the 2.5" gap and due to measuring to give them extra inches. I didn't mind cause my 2 sister squads next turn can pop out and destroy the squad. Actually I only needed 1 squad which avenge the poor guardsmen. The second cheat this guy was trying to say that the swarmlord had fleet. I asked him show me in the book. Even if he had fleet the guards don't so it would be moot if he did. He stressed that the guards would be granted feet and since his synapse is 18" than his powers extend to 18". He couldn't find this mysterious fleet rule so he was left out in the open cause of it and got blasted to death. The third cheat this guy tried to negate a wound by saying the guard can do that. I told him show me in the book. Cherigons can do that but the tyrant just count as a ic joining the guard. The 4th cheat was actually out there. When he leech essence and rolled d3 and got 6. I was like great it's healing itself. He tried to do 30 str 3 ap 3 hits on my sister squad saying that it works on each individual and the unit as a whole. I think my favorite phrase at this point was show me in the book. You'll think at this point you could chill out with the cheating due to you playing someone that is knowledgeable about the rules but nope. Cheat 5 was the best. He swore up and down that the mawlock doesn't deviate. I had to show him what deepstrike meant. You have to deepstrike like normal. If you hit a model than your effect goes off omg. The whole store almost vouched for this guy until they really read it without him trying to bully the effect. He still got the pie which he shouldn't cause he was more than an 1" away. To be honest he was of the table cause he deviated slightly off. But it was so close he had half his model dangling off the table. Cheat 6 actually was just as 5. No one argued the auto hit on rear armour. But he tried to do 2d6 as if this was an actually hand to hand attack. It was rulled that since it was in the movement phase and not the assault phase he wouldn't get it. Cheat 7 was the cover save he was trying to get from the gap between my exorcist and chimera to his mawlock. I could see like 80% of the model from the lascannons view point. The thing stand so high he probably still wouldn't have gotten it behind a chimera. But he was quoting a gap. I told him fine. If you creatures get a cover save for being in a gap. I'll put two vehicles on the other side of the board and get a cover save for the huge gap between the models. This game lasted 2 turns at least. By the bottom of turn 2 he only had like 8 genestealers left in his whole army. I had one objective and could easily get the other two before turn 5. I think he should had took into consideration that I get to setup after him and on a roll of 2 and higher I would go first. Also dropping 2 pieces of paper a turn on the board was pretty cool. It actually helped him out more than me. IMO I think list full of expensive units cost players the game. I got a boxed set out of it so I'm happy. Next tournament is 1850. I've been asked to play a nicer list so I'll try my tau next time and see how they work out.

Congrats on the victory. Unfortunately, there's no topic for posting tournament winning lists.
