Default 1500pts Grey Knights army

This is for standard pick-up games at the 1500pt size. There are a lot of Ork and Blood Angel players at my store and a spattering of everything else.

Um yeah, Generally I only assault if it is necessary. Most of the time, I prefer to be charged, instead of getting shoved out of position. My squads stick together, therefore if I am charged I am always in a position to counter-charge/shoot then counter-charge.

I normally use my Terminators as a distraction/sacrificial unit. They rake up kills and cause havoc, while my marines capture objectives or shoot down troublesome units. Or mob-up what ever it was that killed the terminators.

Mystics are in there to make daemon armies hate me. or to cause trouble to drop podders. Oh a question. if a unit of marines deepstrikes in a drop pod.Can I get free shots at both, or only one?

A solid build. Nothing more to critique actually. Now, you just have to learn to make it work for you Oh, about 'em Space Marines Deep-Striking via Drop Pod. Yes, you can shoot at the Marines or Drop Pod since they count as Deep-Striking in as well There's a FAQ about it somewhere though...

I have used the list for a couple of months or so and it generally does quite well. I am just curious if there is anything that seems off or should be improved upon. I am considering possibly putting the four grey knight squads to six men each and each with a single Psycannon, instead of two nekked squads and two 'mini purgation' squads, but I am not too excited about having four squads at such low model count.

I am also wanting to upgrade Stern to a Grand Master, but I see no solid reason on why I should spend the points to do so. Even without his re-roll ability (which I only end up using if it is desperately necessary), Stern is a steal for the points and his two psycic powers are ones which are actually very useful. Only thing I can consider as an incentive would be so I can get an additional psycannon..I doubt I'll remove Stern though in the grand scheme of things..He is just amazing for what you pay I find.

I am happy to hear I have built up a pretty solid build. It is true, I just need to keep at it more. I find that I need to be very cautious when I play and I cannot really make any mistakes.

About my question, I found the answer in the Daemon Hunters FAQ. Just incase anyone else is wondering the mystics let you shoot at either the drop-pod or the marines that came out of it. Not both. Could have been pretty great though, wiping out a drop pod and a squad of marines before they can even un-holster their weapons lol.
