I don't know if this has been asked before, but...
Does anyone know when the new daemonhunters codex will be released? If so, what do you want it to include? (I hope this doesn't become the same as the thread in the tau section about a new codex.) |

That information is as mysterious and as hard to pin down as the Inquisition itself. The only commonly held belief is that it will be a combination of all 3 Ordos. Other than that, there are really no clues.
I had heard rumors that we might get one late this year or early next, but I really don't trust the source too much (he also said a Dark Eldar Codex for Christmas 08). As to what I would like to see included: New Inquisitor Characters (at least one per Ordo, Ravenor, Eisenhorn or so on) Non-Inquisitor Characters like Godwyn Fischig, Elizabeth Bequin, Ciaphas Cain In addtion to a Chamber Militant Character per Ordo (like St. Celestine and Stern) Expanded Options for Radicals Including Radical Characters such as Inquisitor Lichtenstein and Quioxis For the Xenos to field small Units of Eldar, Kroot, Nekulli, Loxatl, whatever Evil artifacts and weapons Ordos Xenos Something only we can take, other than Orbital Bombardment, Purgation and Retribution Squads Expanded Adversaries rules that make them easier for opponents to take and use With the option for a whole Adversaries army That we get the New Rhino and Land Raider, and that our vehicles follow the new standard That they make some of the options available in Inquisitor available to our Inquisitors ***edited for not seeing the question***

Hey does anyone know if a Codex: Ordos is ever really gonna show it's beautiful head or if this is all speculation. If it is Games Workshop is even more ridiculous than its prices.

I've heard that the tree ordos in one book rumour has been discredited and they will remain as separate forces. Though, there is no word of when any of this would happen.

I think the biggest hold up with the Ordos Xenos is that their Chamber Militant isn't really all that special, I mean, they are really just Marines after all, albeit with some fancy gear.

Another reason we may not see a Xenos book, Deathwatch are essentially the exact same thing as the new Sternguard Veteran Squads. Special Ammo, access to alot of special weapons. They are essentially a Deathwatch Squad without having to shell out an additional 25 dollars to make them officially Deathwatch. Besides, using Pedro Kantor, you can essentially make a Deathwatch Army, so there really is no reason for them to over produce that section of the Ordos Xenos. As far as the Inquisition side goes, they will only get a few different gear options, a special elite choice and a different 3rd Orbital Bombardment option. My unfortunate argument is that they probably don't have enough variety right now to make a decent (let alone good) Alien Hunters Codex.
