Well this was my first 5th edition game and my first battle report. I'm still working on my Mardi Gras army to see how well they work. Hell I had to proxy half the list due to me still buying and putting models together. I now offically declar the Exorcist the most annoying model I had to put together.
But here is my list. Witch hunter army -hq- Canoness- blessed weapon, litanies of faith, frag grenades 100pts Greyknight Inquisitor- cc, bolt pistol Mystic, Mystic, Mystic 45pts Landraider 250pts Hq 395pts -elites- 5 celestian- frag grenades 75pts Immolator- 65pts 140pts Callidus- 120pts 5 Grey knight terminaters- 245pts Elites - 505pts - Troops- 10 sisters of battle- veteran superior 125 pts 10 sisters of battle- veteran superior 125 pts Armoured fist- heavy bolter. 70 pts Chimera- heavy bolter, multi-laser. 85 pts = 155 pts Armoured fist- heavy bolter. 70 pts Chimera- heavy bolter, multi-laser. 85 pts = 155 pts Troops- 685 pts -Heavy- Leman Russ- hvy bolter 145 pts Exorcist 135 pts Exorcist 135 pts Hvy pts- 415pts This is what I remember him having. Raven Guard - hq - Super Captain - elites - 5 terminaters 5 terminaters dreadnaught troops 8 sniper scouts with a rocket launcher. 8 marines with a power fist and rocket launcher 8 marines with a power fist - heavy - 5 devestator squad 3 lazcanons and 1 launcher with a powerfist vindicater landraider Well the game only lasted 2.5 turns due to opponet having add, and having to look up the rules a lot. Believe it or not the game lasted 3hrs. Anyway I needed to keep the emperors troops in line and remind them that the emperor is all ways watching. - Select A Mission - On the mission roll we got the seize ground mission where we had 3 objectives. I won the roll and placed all three objectives relatively close. I figured I had a lot more mobility and that I could mobilize my army on the objectives and just sit on them and hold out. - deploy forces - We wind up getting the spearhead deployment. Can't remember the last time I played quarters. We rolled to see who deploy first, luckly I did. I was able to get the deployment zone with two objectives and with 1 like 6" away. He tried to steal the objective but I still was able to go first. He deployed his scouts in a building by the third objective. I used a word in your ear to take his devestator squad off the top of the building and six inches away from it. I made sure they didn't have line of sight. Yeah no windows wooohoo. - Turn 1 - - Movement - Nothing special here. I move my tanks to form a wall for my troops to walk behind. The two objectives I already claimed which was behind buildings that block line of sight. I had to use my vehicles to block line of sight so I could claim the third objective. - shooting - I fired with my lemun russ for an opening shot. I was of by 3" but my bs3 actually helped. I think it was karma cause he premeasured 2" away from his troops, which is why setting up took so long. But I was able to still get 7 of the 8 marines and was able to kill 7 of them in one blast. My landraider only could fire one cannon and was able to stun his landraider. My exorcist fired on his dreadnaught killing it. My chimera fired on the scouts killing 2. My other chimera fired on the other marine squad killing two. My other exorcist fired on the same squad only killing 1 marine. - movement - He decided to move his 1 marine closer. He moved his landraider closer and his vindicater out from behind the building. - shooting - The 5 man marine squad fired on one of my chimeras blowing it up. The scouts with sniper guns and rocket launcher got a double immoblised resault which wind up destroying my multi laser. Darn rending sniper rifles. The vindicater fired at my immolator. I forgot to blow smoke and lost a celestine. - turn 2 - - movement - I rolled to see if my calladius and terminaters come in which is a no. My celestine squad with canoness closes in on the rangers, thanks to my immolator gettting blown up I can assault them now. I move my leman russ 12" so it can get a better shot. I place the rest of my vehicles to form a huge wall around the terrain. - shooting - My sister squad on one of the objectives fires at the scouts. Only 2 can fire and they kill one scout. I figured this squad was out of range before. My landraider stuns the other landraider again. Both exorcist fires on other squad of marines killing all but 1. - assault - My celestine squad assaults the scouts. I try to us faith to give them int 6 which doesn't work. but somehow he rolled all 3s and 1s. I killed 2 scouts and he loses 2 more due to no retreat. - movement - He rolls for his both his terminaters which don't come in. For some reason he has 1 marine left if both his squads with powerfist. Moves landraider again. He finally gets his devestator squad back on top the building thanks to run. - shooting - vindicater takes out my exorcist killing 2 nearby sisters. - assault - wiped out his scouts. - turn 3 - - movement - calladius and terminaters come in. Nothing else moves. - shooting - Exorcist kills of his super captain. My guardsmen double tap and kill last marine in a squad. Inquisitor with pistol kills other 1 marine. Calladius with neural shreader kill 2 marines from devestator squad. Leman Russ kills vindicater. Landraider stuns Landraider. - assault - Calladius kills 2 more marines and then dies to powerfist. Who puts a powerfist in a devestator squad anyway. This is where the game pretty much end. - summary - I think I should had taken out his vindicater when I got the chance. It killed my immolator and one of my exorcist. Also I have to remember to pop smoke as well. Also with my normal list I'm gonna put my two rhinos back in the list. I think if my troops was more moble it would had been nice. I don't think my army did to bad.
