Tactics are farely straightforward: troops move up under cover fire from the dreads, while the termies and FA squad remain in reserve. They teleport in when available, everyone tries to get into combat where it will be favorable for them, and in general not getting killed.

Did I miss anything important? Mind you, I've never played as GKs before, but I want to get some.

Also, a question: if a GK hero's retinue uses the Holocaust power, is he still able to use a seperate psychic power the same turn? For example, could the Grand Master of this list take test for his force weapon the same turn his termies use Holocaust?

Heya,

HQ - I would drop the Master. Take a BrotherCaptain & 2x Terminators for the same cost instead. More attacks, more guns, no vulnerability to instantdeath from powerfists, etc, that the Master has a problem with (T4). The bodyguard is fine. Drop the Incinerator though--keep it all stormbolters.

(Termis can buy holocaust always; See the v4 FAQ about using two separate powers. The FAQ states both the Hero and the BodyGuard can have Holocaust and both can cast it separately. That implies that the Hero can have a different Psychic power, while the squad still casts Holocaust.)

Troop1~2 - Look great.

Fast1 - Solid.

Heavy1~3 - Excellent.

-- Overall, I'd reduce the number of Termis in the list in order to field another FA of GreyKnights. But that's just me.

One thing I noticed about the GK Hero: I can't take a Captain with Termie x2, because the bodyguard entry says that its same as termie entry, but termies are 3-9 without the standard Brother-Captain. So what should I do? I can't fit another full unit of 8 Knights in, what should I go for in a pure GK list?

Heya,

What I meant was, drop the GrandMaster, put in a BrotherCaptain, and add 2 knights to the bodyguard of termis you currently have. Or, drop them all together, and just take a single Brother Captain, and use all the Termi's points to field another squad of power armored knights in FA slot. Totally up to you though.
