While picking up my dogs poop :-\ I came up with a brilliant Idea. The idea is to use Dominions to support Seraphim, or vice-versa. Both are very fast units that go the same speed. My plan is to Load up the dominions in an Immolator and have a group of seraphim follow closely behind, Then when in range with meltas or Stormbolters you unload the dominions and fire a salvo of burning melta or righteous bullets into the enemy. Wait a second won't the dominions will be charged and slaughtered? Not if you charge the enemy first with your seraphim into the already weakened unit! So what do you guys think? will it work?

Heya,
This works with anything really. Doesn't matter if it's Dominions or Seraphim. So long as you shoot with on unit and assault with another, it functions the same. And mechanized sisters have always done well with Seraphim using the tanks to block LOS to them for an easy approach. Since the tanks more 12" and the Seraphim move 12" it all plays together and flows perfectly. I will say that Dominions aren't worth it here though. It's better to just use Troops mounted in a Rhino with massed bolter fire and Divine Guidance. Or double Meltas if you prefer. This gives you more room to get more Seraphim to do this multiple times. The thing is, one setup to do this won't work often. Two will get it done more often. And the beauty is, the Seraphim can later hop out of assault on their turn, so that your unit can shoot them again, and re-assault if neccessary. Make sure you have an Eviscerator on that Seraphim Vet Superior. Anyhow, it's in line with typical Sister strategy. So, that means you're on the right track. Cheers,

Malveux is correct about 95% of his post except the part where he said Dominions aren't worth it here though, though he is right if referring to a 5-6 sister dominion squad. Now take a 10 sister Dominion squad in a rhino with 5 stormbolters and you have a unit of ooey gooey goodiness that powns anything that a bolter can wound. Though a standard sister squad can do this as well it isn't as tactically effective, what happens if you are .1" out of rapid fire range when you dismount then your SOL. It is so good in fact I take two squads of them. I can move 12" in a rhino, deploy and fire 10 bolters 24" or I can stand still and shoot 15 shots 24". That is more firepower then a squad of marines can bring plus with our BS of 2/3 of the shots should hit which with 15 at 24" is 10 hits with divine guidance being AP1 I regularly get 2-4 6's to wound which is fantastic. It allows you to soften up that unit you are going to charge with your seraphim by 2-6 models if marine which helps immensely. Other then that Malveux is on the ball. |

I think he means 10 bolter shots from the stormbolters. He can shoot up to 36 inches away from his original position providing they are mounted in the rhino.
