Default Avor got into the "special" holy water.

I was thinking, well sorta :

The emperor's gaurd are realy cool, and could make them useing greyknights.
I know this is already been done, can sombody give me the link? I need to either be awe and go back to painting normal GK, be brave and see what I have to do when I break out the puddy.

The custodians look [extremely nice], but the main reason why I was thnk it, was so I could some nasty terrain, the long hill up, the gates, or just some nameless area, I want to use lots of colums and statues.

But I finnaly reached a status with my pure GK army I think I use the custodian name and immage with honour(I've only lost one game with them, but he only won by 140 points, it was a draw but we went past turn 6.)

[hr]

Found them, made by this [talented artist] :P

Im sure he uses some kind of molds, anyways Im going to give it a try, not to that quality, but see what I can do.

By the looks of it, you'll need to do a fair bit of converting/sculpting.. good luck

Btw: Try the 'Modify' function..

That guy, Scibor, has been pumping out literally tons of those miniatures. He hawks them for a high price too, and gets it. Each one gets sold for $200~300 easily. I can't even count how many he's created anymore.

Anyhow, he has done tutorials and others as well. The green stuff work is done with moldings. He etches them with computer software actually. You'd have to read all the stuff behind it, it's pretty amazing to think someone went that far.

Great looking stuff of course.

My only complaint, ever, with this guy's work... really isn't his fault, but are those odd bolters on the staves. I mean, I know they're supposed to be there, but it just looks so out of place to me. Still though, completely awesome mods.

Cheers!

So here's the plan, cut my heads off :-\

Replace it with those eldar heads, and build up the necks with the green. Give them alot more cape, and see how it turns out.

I want to use this guys as GKs, but the small problem with GKs is getting those metal storm bolters on the glave, so screw that, especicaly the ones where the gun is modled into the body, makeing one piece.

Heya,

Sounds like it could work. Which models would you use as the base though? The new Terminators? Or the Grey Knight models? I can't imagine chopping the heads off of GK Termis!

Cheers!

I would the Grey Knights as a base.

-It would give me the excuse to use them as Demon hunters.
-They already have ornate armor.
-I already own the minis, like heck im goind to run out and spend more money on a army I already have, it would be like buying a 5 land raider.

But it may be a while untill I get started, I need to make a bits order tommor and have that temple to finnish off first(almost done, but I work today.)

I got that piece finnished this morning.

http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=20742.0

And when I got to the GW I got a mixed result. These Custodians

http://us.games-workshop.com/games/4...sy/default.htm

use the heads off of archived high elf spearmen, that I cant get.

So I orded the "Eldar Storm Guardians Heads Sprue" They look about the same, and dont have to hack them off a speaman's body :-\ I also got the Eaglebackpacks.

But when I was looking for head I found some other coolness, the old Eldar bodies are pretty sweetly armored. With a power glave, a bolter arm, backpack, and some time with the greenstuff, it could make quite an interesting figure.

HEy speaking of Headless terminators. My GK terminators are Red like the ones in the end of show case in the book. I have chopped alot of normal troops heads off and green stuffed some hair on them. Like sub zero, they ahve a pale face and the white hair pulled back in a tie. So they look like ancients. Fluff i've put to my army is they're ageless and almost chaos engulfed beings with out the madness. I have alot of "they're not grey knights Your terminators a red, no shrouding for you" but I always win that argument. But i iwll get to the point. Malveux can You show me so of your headless Terminators and if anyone else likes to cut the metal and show us some good conversions to give there limited posed knights???

Flowerfall,

My knights aren't headless... It's Avor who is doing this

By the way - your unit's rules are always in effect regardless of what color they are. That's ridiculous. The only time this ever matters, rule wise, is for Orks.

Cheers!
