Meetup pictures - Sunday (pic heavy)
« on: February 23, 2010, 03:17:19 PM »
Sunday saw my terminators open a new butt hole in Rafe's tau army... followed by a combined Tau army take on my marines and Eldar, the the guy on the table next to us asked if we were up for a two a side mash up with me on his side (marines/eldar) and rafe and his son on the other (combined tau). We obliged and took over two requisitioned two gaming boards for the job. Also worthy of mention is his painting, which was rather impressive to say the least. Sadly we didn't get to finish as they had to leave for dinner after turn three and we called it a draw.
My dreadnought bought it to a rail shot on the first turn, although in retrospect, I completely forgot about my 4+ cover save from smoke launchers. grrrr.

As you can see from the pics below, we also had a large game on the cityscape board, which rocked.
1000 points a piece saw dual Eldar and dual Marines take on dual Dark Eldar, Tyranids and ermmm Tau (well it had to be balanced lol. Sod the fluff!)

Also you can see one of the two 'cocked dice fails' that Rafe managed to roll. One was amazing enough, two was just silly. Dice fail or awesome rolling technique? I'll let you decide ;)

On to the photos in no particular order (I'm sure you can work out which instance they refer to).

Anubis, you and that awesome camera of yours have to make the next meetup.
Well I'd rather not play the game at all than play it like they did! :P

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

You may call me Circus.

Well I had a really good time, so I will certainly try my best! If you promise to do some nudes for me then I'll put myself down now ;D
Maybe we could make it artistic and use your naked body as the terrain... the objective being the..... and no.

One thing that WOULD be cool for next time is to organise the large game properly (book the board for the morning).
This would allow us to finish the game. I could take photos as we go and someone could make annotations along the way. We could get some really cool battle reports. I feel I should have stayed longer (for the Monday) but it was the first time I'd been away from my baby boy and I was beginning to miss him! Next year Tarik will be in the same shoes as me, maybe we could have a TO creche lol
