TO Meetup Month Poll
« on: February 21, 2010, 11:46:25 AM »
This is to help me an FT decide the best time to plan a Meetup for.

It will be left open, and you're allowed to change your vote any time.

You have two votes to use.

Broken.

Only two, actually.

I voted for August and April. Just because that seems to be when the largest holidays are, but not necessarily to be spent with family like Christmas.

That may just be helped by massive boobs though, i'm female. I don't know how that shiz works... :)

I voted for Feb and August.
August seems a good time to have them, but I like the idea of them being spaced apart enough that any necessary saving for expenses can be done.
Look at it like this, you need money for:
Beer
Train
Hotel (unless we go during uni season and you can get lucky - rock city is a meat market btw)
Food
The fact that we are in WHW and therefore tempted to buy shiny new toys!

But I am easy come easy go with dates. It would be good to have two every year and be relatively set in stone with the months they will occur.

The other thing to take into consideration is whether or not WHW will be booked up at that time of year for tournament gaming etc, or if everyone is at games day...

Commission?! PM me to discuss a price. Based in the UK.

For as long as I've been going to Games Day, since 1995, it's always been in September.  Sometimes the start, sometimes the end, but always in September.

Well there goes september ;)

Wouldn't it be a good idea to make the vote shorter in time if august is looking a likely prospect?
Don't forget it is much cheaper to book in advance so if we do another in August this year, it would be silly deciding IN august that we want to do it then too.
I'd say if we can't sort out dates in a month or so then we need a kick up the rear. ;)

This poll is kinda for next year.

FT and I already guessed that August would be the next meetup for this year. Everyone was practically adding "see you in August" to the end of every farewell :P

True true.
Okies, in that case, there is ample time for people to put their vote in :D
