Update time. I know it is late!

First up a sentinal killa kan!

And a battlewagon i have been slaving over for a few days. this one can actually hold 20 orks!. The thing on the front is like a lail from the WWII mine clearance tanks, it counts as a deffrolla. It is substantially longer than the normal BW at 10" as opposed to 7", I just can't stand having transports that can't take their models.

I am stil testing ork schemes and i think i will go a dark blue colour. Hopefully i can get this guy painted in time for the vehicle competition.   :D

I know you can't stand having transports that can't carry the models, but there looks like there might be another use for you conversion as well. That battlewagon would get across the field quickly with it built that way. If you put it up against your deployment line all parallel like and then on the start of your move, pivot it straight you would probably gain 5 or 6 inches on your move...

I never took the Ork transport capacity too literally. Orks are Orks; they'll hang off handlebars and generally clamber all over the vehicle. There's actually a few bits of art showing them doing just that.

Awesome conversion in any case. And scary Deff Rolla. :P

I am not the sort of gamer to pull cheap tricks like that. If anythign it makes the vehicle weaker as you should get more shots on the side armour.

You pivot from the center of the vehicle anyway. You won't get much distance at all. You might as well deploy normally. And yes, you're exposing your side armor to first-turn Lascannon fire.

With a normal vehicle I would say you would gain maybe 2 inches. With that beast above he would probably gain 5 inches at least. Its a cheap trick, but if I faced Space Marines every day, I wouldn't be ashamed to use it.

I am not too keen on the rules, but wouldn't I know if I was going first or not before I placed the model on the table? If I wasn't going first I wouldn't put it with the side facing lascannon fire anyway.

Actualy by pivoting from the center only 2.5" is gained by this vehicle. Yes you would know but that is irrelevant as it will be placed facing forwards, the sportmanshiply way to do it.

I am probably just not playing more orks right. Everytime I play them, I face Space Marines and I get slaughtered. This leads me to find ways to give them an advantage. More or less it probably comes from me not really knowing how to play the game. Either way, your battlewagon looks pretty sweet.

No one with scratchbuilt or custom models should try the pivot trick, because it will make you look like a douche powergamer.

Like you all my transports hold their respective number of Orks, and I like it that way. It makes them harder to hide, easier to shoot, but they look much cooler and that's all that matters. I like the rear extension, though it could use some more supports underneath. I'm also not sold on the deffrolla. It looks cool if you weren't using it as a deffrolla, but I can't see a minesweeper crushing a land raider. If you replaced the wires with sharpened sprue and beef up the arms and middle section I think it would pass.

I beefed up the arms but i will keep the flail as it is. If orks believe it can shred a landraider it will.  :P Besides a drum covered in spikes really knocks out landraiders anyway?

Not really, but you are right that if the mek tells them it will crush tanks, it will. Gotta love the Ork Psyche.

Update time! First some painted battle wagon pics:

The camera is very mean with photos.
Big mek Shacklenut, "Red ones may be fasta', but blue ones are luckier and wiv any luck they will go even fasta'"

Now for some train stuff, this is n gauge on a 6x3" baseboard which is a good sized layout for n'.

Njow for my antweight fighting robot, yeah not much at the moment but it will become a polycarbonate monster with a vertical flywheel for a weapon. Antweight rules

And finally the obligatory pet pictures:
My lovely hammy susie, chinese dwarf. Sorry for blurryness but you try and make a hyper hammy sit still.

Tomorrow will be IG tank camo fest!

Woo Ka-update!

First up a WIP of my covered basilisk (enclosed crew compartment) it needs much more detailing and whatnot but it should be good.

And another WIP sculpt to test my skills as i have plans for a chaos army that has become completely mutated to the point that even the vehicles are alive. Though I didn't have enough greenstuff for the detailed parts so it can't hold as much detail as I would have liked. This is a WIP based off a tau drone.

Finally some WIP painting, my camera had virtually no battery so i couldn't do 3 seperate photos.

Cheers,
         UH
