BEHOLD! Their webpage!

1193 Bloor St. West -rear.  Toronto Ontario.  There's a handy "directions" link on their site.

Alright boys and girls TO Toronto/(Eastern) North America Meetup is in 6 month.

We need to figure out a few more thing.

1) Get a more definate picture of who is coming and maybe arrange for car-pooling option.
2) What army will you bring and let's try to aim for 1000-1500 points.
3) What kind of game do you want
           - pick-up game (we see how many people we got and we pair out accordingly)
           - Tournement style
           - Weekend Campaign
           - Big Megabash - we get together with x point, split up in teams

One thing I was mentioning to boney earlier in chat was the potential of linking games together over the course of the weekend.  Basically, random games between members could be set up with the winner securing a small bonus for their side during an eventual megabash.  Figured I'd post it up and see what the interest was like.

I may bring cardboard cutouts instead of models, if that's okay. I'm more interested in just chilling with whoever else shows up, anyway.

I don't feel too comfortable lugging my models around on, say, the TTC, either. Chances are there either won't be enough room in the car for me to carry the box flat, or somebody will bump it, or whatever, and things will get broken.

I don't even really have enough models to field 1500 points without proxying anyway because I collected models rather than armies. :P

I'm ok with proxy.

Just hanging around is cool too.

Cardboard cut outs?

What do you carry your models in if your afraid to get them broken by merely traveling? Most miniature cases are very good at keeping things safe. I abuse the hell out of my GW cases and my models are all kept in pristine condition. A good case is always worth the investment.

Just talked to my wife about it, and she said "we do have a week we need to use on our timeshare, and I'm sure our resort has a sister resort near Toronto". I'll let you know as the date gets closer.

Well, I have a case, but its entirely empty and devoid of padding of any sort.

And even if I did bring everything I have, I *still* couldn't make a decent list out of it without proxying the shtlk out of things. :P

Hence my resorting to cutouts.  At least what they're supposed to be will be obvious, I figure.

As long as it's clear, peroxy sohuld not be a problem...part of the idea is to get together and have fun.

Carboard cut out...as long as you do not pull out LOS shtik, why the Hell not.

I was just waiting for someone to make a joke about TLOS on cardboard armies.  Plus, don't be surprised if I start jokingly demanding dangerous terrain checks for any unit entering a building with hardwood floors. :P

Oh, hell, of course not. I think TLOS is a silly mechanic for a table-top wargame anyway.

How would you guys feel about a Genestealer cult?
-The first few games would give clues about it (and score you points for bonus).
- The final megabash would be the attempt to destroy it (or the cult attmept to survive)

Or, depending on what army will be present, we could make the objective a Eldar Maiden world, a planet ot control, an Aetheral hot point, etc.

Right, so I got my summer camp contract, and I am going to be on an unpaid leave from work from August 1-6th. So, if there is any way to bump the meeting time a couple of days back, I'll be able to make it. Otherwise, I most defiantly wont be able to.

Missions I am not too concerned with. As long as they are not terribly complicated. Going for objectives in missions is always more fun then a straight-up kill-all as well. Still doing mega battles I take it? Not completely sure what your planning.

I'm game, since I think I know what you're referring to. XD

I wish to draw attention to this again, as there was no reply. I have my contract for my summer job, and there is a week long 'break' of sorts in the beginning of August. This will mean that if the time we are meeting is not within this time, I will not be going. Period. If it is, then I very well can. Not sure how much reorganization moving this a couple of days over will require.
