it looks ok. well painted but the colors just isn't my taste. the only metallic nids i really like is Alien theme paint schemes

You should see them before I ink them with purple then... heh.  I have a whole mess of half painted Genestealers and my Warrior trio right now... they're currently mithril silver.  Very odd look... maybe if I get the chance I'll snap a photo and stick it up on my conversions thread.

Wow... it's very different, the metallics - not necessarily in a bad way, just different from the normal fleshy tones.

I like, it should certainly stand out!

Well, it's been some time since I've last posted stuff, but I've finally finished up my Hive Tyrant and wanted to show it off.  So, here's another finished piece of Hive Fleet Hekatonkheires:























the only thing I need to finish up is the brown "dirt" part of the base.  I'm going to be adding some sand grit and dry brushing it with a mix of the brown and desert yellow for a bit more layering.

Old thread, but wow, that's a nice Tyrant... it seems a bit on the glossy side, hard to pick out some details, but the scheme is top-notch.

Yeah, the gloss kind of doesn't come out nice in the pictures with the flash on it... in natural light it just kind of makes it look a bit slimy.
