Roman or Latin will do fine too.
Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
Heya,
Judging from your fluff, they wouldn't have a battle cry really. However, what's the fun in that right? So, based on their veneration of the Emperor as the father, and not as a God, and their absolute honour and loyalty to him and his cause, perhaps something Emperor related:
"Emperor vult!" (Emperor Wills It)
"Nobiscum Emperor!" (Emperor With Us)
Anyhow, they don't use your wording, but real battle crys very rarely use long words or words with lots of consonants. Battlecrys are meant to be short bursts and they typically carry a lot of vowel sounds. The word "Shadow" works here, but it doesn't have that much meaning on its own. "Punishment" is a very hard word to really make a real Cry with. But if we go to Latin:
"Shadow Ultio!" (Shadow Punishment)Think of `Shadow Punishment' as a phrase. The Cry ends in strong vowel sounds, so it's more like what a real cry would be, with less focus on ending in consonants. The phrase represents the punishment of the enemies of the Emperor, as they hide in his shadow, and are destroyed in those very shadows.
Cheers!
