Default help please!!!!!!!!

i have another friend who want's to do imperial gaurd but can't figure out a army list and infantry plattoons and has turned to me. and i don't know anything about gaurd except they form the largest army in the universe and that there humans.

I'd give the medic a storm bolter too, if you're moving at 12-24" the extra 2 shots could help

That's illegal, servitors count against his wargear, so you could only have 50 points of them at most. Since it's tank heavy, technical servitors would be better.

Illegal - you need a normal platoon for each armoured fist. Also, I would be inclined to drop either the HB or meltas in the squads, melta is moving close up, HB stationary at longer range. I'd use one squad HB + plasma, the other Melta and nothing.

I would use some HQ support choices, and make 3 squads of 2 instead, for flexability.

I'd say go for either 3x HB or just lascannon.

This does sound a very attractive armoured list (goes off to use it himself) and you could solve the armoured fists illegality by taking mechanised doctrine and 1 inf platoon of 3 squads and an armoured fist. The points you've saved elsewhere will pay for the command squad.

if its mechanised, i dont need the platoon. plasma suggestion was okay, but as for the third sentinel squad, where would i free the points from? not all from the techpriest, which would be about only 60 points (i forgot about the war gear rule). when i made this, it was fairly late here, and i was a little sleepy. the lascannon is important because it has the extra power against those bigger creatures we guardsmen have to worry about. the medic doesnt need a storm bolter because he is the medic and needs not burden himself with a storm bolter.

lastly, the total point cost was 2002 pts

Mechanised doctrine does not say that you don't need infantry platoons, only that every infantry squad must have a transport. You still need an infantry platoon to take an armoured fist, it's just that every squad from the infantry platoon will have a transport.

I said keep same number of sentinels, just have 3 x 2 instead of 2 x 3. As to the medic, everyone else can move and shoot to full effect at 24", so assuming the squad takes that as a role, you add 2 bolter shots a turn for 4 points.

Finally, keeping the lascannon sounds fine, but then the sponsons are wasted, so you can free up points there too.
eg. Hull lascannon OR hull heavy bolter and sponson heavy bolters. Otherwise you waste one or the other each turn.

A good list though, especially as you were as sleepy as a sloth (no insult intended)

alright. i i wouldnt put the storm bolter or the heavy stubber on the sentinels, because i never feel its worth the points. as for the hb, they are still effective if they manage to get past the lascannon. having all three would be over kill. but with the las cannon, you acn still work over the big creatures and still be ready for swarms of small creatures like with nids, orks and other guard.
