Default Thunderbolt in plastic?

OK so i was surfing the net the other night and i came across a picture of a QW box the size of the baneblade box but it was for the thunderbolt fighter in plastic in the GW Apocalypse range, does anybody know anything about this? because i really want a thunderbolt but i cant really justify 80 from forgeworld.

any info greatfully received.

You were either mistaken, it was a shop or it's a Valkyrie. :P There is nothing here or anywhere I can find on the Games Workshop website and I have never heard of a plastic THunderbolt being sold by GW so I highly doubt that what you saw was authentic. Perhaps a scratch built with 'shopped front but not one from GW as far as I can tell.

I'd hazard to say it's faked. It doesn't look like GW's usual art quality.

I recall a few rumours about a plastic Thunderbolt for Apocalypse, most of which can be found with a quick Google search, but those were over 2 years ago and we've heard nothing more.

It's obviously the FW model as well, canpoany strut size is too thick for GW style.

Shopped, the other dead give away is the one in the top left corner. not to mention none of the background fighters are faded out (as per ALL GW boxes).

Yep. That is a photoshop. The granite texture shows heavy use of a clone brush. The only thing GW duplicates like that is models in their full-army spreads. :
