I'm looking into getting my IG army set up, via the trade board.

I'm planing an elite, mech force using the veteran squad for the most part. I have 3 sniper, some stromtrooper for me elite choice, an old 4th ed pweter command sqaud coming through a trade, and about 20 IG (some slightly converted as Gueve'sa. I also have 2 chimer, 7 sentinels 1 hellhound and a demolisher.

So now my question is: Should 1 go for 1 or 2 battleforce? I'm looking for a 1500-200point army and planning to get a good 5-6 extra chimera and maybe 2 more hellhound on top of what i have. But for now the big question is 1 battleforce and 2 box of cadian, or 2 battleforce?.

What do you think??

If you're planning on getting the more exotic Special Weapons like Plasma Guns and Meltaguns or you're going to get the blister pack for them or getting them off from somewhere else, those purchases are fine.

Otherwise those Battleforces have Command Squads that have the essential Special Weapons you may need.

I could potentiasl get those off of eBay or GW, then again, my Stormtrooper have those already, so that is not a big deal for now.

How about the other? what do yuo think?

Heavy Weapons? If you need more of them, then I would suggest the Battleforces.

Battleforces have everything you need, you probably have leftovers judging by the stuff you got, so if you think you're on a tight budget, just go ahead and get Chimeras first.

Well considering I'm going for a themed army with no tanks other then Chimera, chem hound and the gatling gun variant of the Demolisher,Heavy weapon will very likely be a most. at least 1 squud full.

I figure with the Battleforce I got 2 extra sentinel (but 9 sentinel is quite fluffy for me) and 2 extra command sqaud, but then again that is not lost either.

Then I would suggest 2 Battleforces. Those Command Squads come with very nice bits like a broken arm, banners, gas masks etc.

Bet me. The New battleforce has a command sqaud, 1 sentinel, 20 cadian and 3 heavy weapon team. Granted they don't have a Russ like in the 4th edition one, But i would not say that it sucks.
