Default Acceptable stand in?

Hey Guys for those that have been following my IG force the Draconians are a traitor world separated from the imperium for over 6000 years, who have devoloped on their "own" tangent. Basically I have one of the old units from their codex that I wrote and I was wondering what I could use codex wise to represent them. (Keep in mind I play IG mostly) and what model I could use.

Quote:
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen today on Draconia today we take a much closer look at aldarias pride and joy, the Humane, ROV Model RX-45.

RX-45

RX-50

The RX-45 was first developed during the war with the Pirates, however the updated RX-45A1 Came to great use during the war with the tau. Where the Machines allowed our forces to take looses without loosing men. Less advanced than our benefactors, the tau's drones, the RX-45 Series is a Remote controlled aerial vehicle as opposed to the tau empires artificially intellegent design. Larger and more versatile than the tau drones. It can be said that the main reason for the success of our forces abroad is simply due to the versatility and mass production of our ROV's.

Major victories continue to be won with the RX-45 Series but the forthcoming adoption of the RX-50 Series Dubbed the Firedrake, Might prove the 45 Series outdated. The Drones have been upgraded with faster smaller processors and longer range singnal processors allowing the controllers to be stationed farther away. Exact specs are unknown at this point but the newest and first fully mass production Draconian Warships are being fitted with Drone Control rooms. That is all that is known at this point. It is not known if the RX-50 series is for space ship defense or if the drones can actually be operated on the ground from orbit. The same weapons of the 45 series can still be used, however rumor says that newer weapons are being considered. At this point everything else is considered Level 1 Classified.

Over and out. *end Transmission*

Edit: Well i was going to draw something in Autocad but I found this and well... it looks just as good and close enough.

Not saying it's not possible. Just saying it's more Tauish then actually guard due to humans being eternally stupid. In another universe where humans aren't stupid than yea. I'll just say your guys are from an alternate dimension that came through from the warp.

They could also come from a dimensional rift through time and space.

Hmm, if it was piloted and blocky then maybe, but way too high tech for human(in 40k)

P.s ewww drones, not too fond of drone aircraft in the u.s military.

It could also be the giant mysterious ruin on the planet from before the necrons.

Then it would be so old that it couldn't fly anyway.

Not trying to sound mean, but you really don't know the fluff that well, do you?

actually I know it very well, my next army will be a skitarii army, and I was referring to the reason why the draconians are of normal intellegence.

True it would be quite old, but dpeending on the type of drive and material used, it could still be operational. Or they could have changed the engine to use one of theirs and kept the rest of the system in there and they just fiddled with it to figure out how to fly, shoot and what not.
