I am fighting an Ork army hiding behind mechs with cover save force field. I have yet to beat this army but hope to on next run in with some helpful advice I received from you guys. I want to add a vendetta with 10 Grey Knights to outflank and show up behind the mass'o Orks. My hopes are that they shoot up alot with only a 5+ cover save instead of going through the dreadnaughts giving him 4+. I don't see anywhere in the book saying I can't transport allies..just a 12 model limit.
Any thoughts/advice or even rules clarification that I may have missed? Also adding another vendetta to bring in a unit of IG Veterans in the same manner.

It is legal, but some people might take issue with it.

IG Vetts in Vendettas outflanking are brutal.
Although if you plan to get fairly close to boys, take a Valk instead, those Multiple rocket pods will hurt far more than the Lascannons, add H/Bolter Sponsons and you can cut down Nobs just as well. If you need Anti Tank Firepower aswell, give the vets MeltaGuns.

army list:
HQ- Command squad T1- Veterans T2- Veterans T3- Veterans T4- 10 Grey knights FA1- Vendetta FA2- Vendetta FA3- Hellhound H1- Hydra Plan is to outflank with both gunships, one with GK's and other with Vets. Gunships are my staple anti tank weapons..3 twin linked lascannons are mean. Hellhound will go around to whatever opposite side his truk is on for burning up Ork mass. Vets/Command squad stand out front to draw fire and lay it down from the front. Hydra for truk/def koptors. (he will probably read this post before the game and change army a bit..have a plan for that too)
