Default Bases for Heavy weapons teams

I have several older style heavy weapon teams for my Praetorian guard. Under the new codex, a heavy weapon team is a single 2 wound model. The rule book states that you must use the bases that came with a model.

So the question is: Do I put the HW teams on the 25mm and 40mm bases that came with them, or the larger, single base used with the current plastic HW teams? and what size is that? I don't have any current HW teams.

The large base that comes with the current HW teams would be this one. And I believe it would be best to put your Praetorian HW teams onto them.

This is another reason I hate that stupid basing rule. >

Kakashi is correct though from what I can tell, if you want to go to a competition with them. Normal players won't bust your balls over it usually.

Edit- MT has a good idea as well. I certainly wouldn't complain if you told me before the game.

Under the new rules, a Guard Heavy Weapons Team is no longer two separate models; it is now a single model (with two figures mounted upon a single base) with a single statline. Having two separate models on two separate bases can be very confusing so if you were to keep your models based as they were then I'd recommend not using the Loader model and use just the Gunner with the gun model (albeit with two wounds now) as that keeps the number correct for things like complex unit wound allocation.
