Default SEND IN THE NEXT WAVE! and also the claws of the desert tiger(teehee)

1-Chenkov has a special rule called send in the next wave, how does it work?

2-Captain Alrehem (or something like that) has a sword that inflicts instant death, regardless of toughness. Does this ignore invulnerable saves? :-X

With chenkov you place the order on the unit and remove them from play. Then add a unit exactly like it was at the start of the game as if they had just entered through reserves.

Alharem's sword doesn't ignore invunerable saves.

Exactly as described on pg. 65 of the codex. And it can only be used on Conscripts.

As Unholy said, it doesn't ignore invulnerable saves, why would it?

Cover save and invulnerable save can prevent Instant-death. So they both would be taken into account.

Armour saves can prevent instant death too.... Take Fabius Bile for example. His weapon causes instant death, but doesn't ignore armour saves.

1. Read the Codex.

2. Read the rulebook.

Both of those are ridiculous questions, both easily answered by reading the rules.

the claws of the desert tiger is a power weapon, and power weapons ignore armor saves.

Edit by AC: Avoid flamebaiting please.

I thought that it was to vague. I had no intention whatsoever to spam this forum, and I did read the rules, it said inflicts instant death. I know invulnerable saves are a different matter, and I wanted to specify. For the 'next wave rule', I wanted to know if I had a squad of conscripts that still had guys, and remove them as casualties, and send in another squad, or did I have to wait until they are completely dead? Sorry, But I didn't mean to spam, and games workshop has the fatal, 'vagueness repeatedness' syndrome.

This is the Imperial Guard section of the forum. We have the right to ask questions to specify on certain topics; everybody has that moment where they don't understand something, and ask about it. It was not spam, It was a topic you already knew about and someone else (me) didn't know about it, and you, thinking that it was extremely obvious, complained about this topic already explained int the codex and rule book. I am simply saying that it is leaving some thing out that makes me not understand completely. Why do you think people use the 'armies of the 40k' section? To joke and tell stories? Sometimes. But only when it relates to the topic. But otherwise, it is a section for ignorant players to have the questions answered. Some people don't know, please don't be rude about it. Sorry, but that had to get out sometime on this topic :P

First port of call should not be the forums. It should be the rule book.

Chenkov has a special rule called send in the next wave and it works exactly as described after the title in his entry.

You understand how a power weapon works. You understand how instant death works. Where does 'ignoring invulnerable saves' come into it?

think of it like a force weapon without the leadership check if you have too....

Do you find it easier to be shot down on a forum than read the rules?
