Default dedicated transportsa nd independant characters

just a quick one, if you were to take an independant character such as yarick, in his own chimera could you add him to a squad that does not have access to dedicated transports such as heavy weopons teams, and start them all inside the chimera at the biggining of the game?

No. A unit may not start the game inside of a Dedicated Transport that was not purchased for it.

However, the current Guard Codex has no caveat that units may not get into a Dedicated Transport that wasn't purchased for them, so you could start the game with the Heavy Weapon Squad deployed immediately behind a Chimera, whether Yarrick's or otherwise, and embark them in their first movement phase (counting as moving for the purpose of shooting) whether they had Yarrick attached or not.

Ironballs, let's work on the spelling and punctuation here. If everyone else can do it, why can't you?
I'm sure you've been reminded enough times already.
