Default "Incompetent Command" & Vox-casters

If you roll a double 6 on the dice for giving orders, will a Vox-caster in both units still allow you a re-roll & most likely ignore the effects of it?

Its a re-roll, so I would assume nothing from the first roll takes any effect. Therefor allowing you to ignore the double6, provided that you do not roll it again. : ;D

Mmk, cheers guys.

Is there ever much of a reason not to have a voxcaster (I've even got one in my meltagun unit, a 4[sup]th[/sup] would be overkill anyhow)?

I never field vox casters anymore. In the last codex they were fairly useful for leadership, but I just don't rely heavily enough on orders to justify giving them to any my squads.

depends on your army really

i personally field a small, elite, airborne force, so voxs (w/ orders) are useful from turning a 10-shot squad into like a 30-shot squad ;D and that never gets old believe me!

however, if your fieling a huge infantry army, then it doesnt really matter if you fail orders, as chances are, you still have plenty of shots left anyway

Actyally, making orders in a large infantry based army is the situation you need it most, because this is where orders will be most optimal. Ideally in a massed infantry army you should take creed and kell. However they are useful all around. I find my senior officer and platoon officer never really give that many orders other than FRFSRF and bring it down, and I don't really rely on them.
