Default Pysker Battle squad and chimera

I am new to imperial guard!

Do any of you find the firepoints onn the chimera a bit ambigous as i can't seem wether whoever is inside fires with the lasguns or their own weapon as it would be good to have a Psyker battle squad in a chimera zapping them all with weaken resolve.

I tried searching for it but didn't find anything.

EDIT: Can the psyker battle squad only use one power a turn?

A psyker battle squad can only use 1 power per turn. The higher amount of psykers (overseer doesn't count), the higher either the S of the shooting attack or the lower the enemy target squad's LD sinks when the psychic attack is successful. A Chimera has 5 access points. Your psyker battle squad only shoots out of 1 of them, so your overseer can also shoot his laspistol out of another firing point. Move upto 6'' and shoot is possible.

Thanks for that!

Quick question though: IN an platoon do all the units act as one or still act independantly of each other as i am unsure how it works. Also does that mean they only count as 1 kill point for the entire platoon.

The platoon acts independently. The command squad and 2-5infantry squads and others all act separately. As for KP, all squads are worth 1 kp. So 1 for the command, 1per infantry squad and same thing for special weapons teams and heavy weapons teams. Take note that when you combine infantry squads it is worth 1kp for the combined squad.

So basically you buy a special squad to cram more guardsmen into one FOC slot.

OR - as I always use my special weapons team in smaller point games - to get the cheapest suicidal unit possible. I usually kit my spec ops guard with 2 meltas and a demo charge and they then form the cheapest valkyrie carrying load.

Valkyrie goes flat out on turn 1, they grav chute and then shoot enemy tanks to pieces or drop the S8 AP3 large blast on - say - a Devastator squad.

Can a primaris psyker join a command squad and go in a chimera?

A primary psycher or a commie lord is a independent character so they can join the command squad and enter their chimera (only if there is enough room in the vehicle for all of them).

No. The enginseer is not classified as an independent character - even if all his servitors around him (which he MUST be equipped with) die, and thus, cannot join any squad. Ever. Same goes for Marbo, by the way.
