Default theoryhammer , IG + GK + straken

so i was browsing the new 5th ed codex and recently bought iron hand straken and a marbo model since i am a catachan player .then it came to me while i was reading strakens rules that gives people around him furious charge.

How deadly would that be if given to squads of PAGK and Termie Gks. It would create an entirely new type of IG style , one that i centered around a charging force with straken giving everyone counter-attack and furious charge. It would give the Gks 5 ini and 7 str and.. that could ruin any MEQs day it would also put them on par with many assault specialist.

whats your thoughts on this guys ? i realise that this is pretty much power gaming but its an interesting idea. also since it says friendly models around 12 inch if your playing a 2v2 your buddy gets it also , am i correct?

In the new book, the whole "Friendly Units" is very vague to me. Is it just "Imperial Guard Friendly Units" only, or does it include "Allied Friendly Units" too?

Your set up there, Shoke, is a deadly one. Any Grey Knights with Furious charge is huge force in it's own right. But what confuses me is what is the limit to "Friendly Units"? Allies or Imperial Guardsmen from the same army?

By all means necessary, it should only be Imperial Guardsmen only; for no Grey Knight Terminator is going to be "inspired" by Straken fluff wise...

fluff is always a way to see it , honestly it should be the other way around . IG being inspired by the presence of grey knights . However what doesnt shoot you and kill your ennemies is probably a friendly unit isnt it ?

It would make more sense gamewise for you to have a GK army with Straken in it.

Also, please use the shift key at the beginning of a sentence. It is there for a reason.

Well you cant have straken in a compagny command platoon and the dh codex doesnt allow for a compagny command squad , correct me if im wrong.

Company. Not Compagny. Like like a weird mix of champagne and company :P.

This would you score you a 1/5 for comp from me. It is powerful yes, but here at least, power has its concessions.

I'd put good money on allies being 100% illegal the moment the new Inquisition Codex hits the shelves; it's a concept that is becoming very unpopular with GW. Even Fantasy, which traditionally had lots of alliances (Dogs of War, anyone?) is losing it.

I don't believe for a moment that either Inquisition Codex was intended to be combined with 5th Ed. Guard, or vice-versa. You'd be getting negative comp scores from me.
