Default Idea for WYSIWYG Indirect fire on a lisk.

Okay, So I don't like anything in my army to be questioned as to what it has (obviously guys inside a tank are a little harder to model). But on a basilisk, to WYSIWYG Indirect fire... I put the DH Mystic model (the pencil guy with the goggle thingy) on the back near my loaders. As if the Mystic their shells when the crew cannot see.

Other Ideas I had for it were
-a comm link operator,
-An observation tower (like a starwars one) coming off the lisk (although this would look retarded and would technically make the model visible)
and finally
-a largish control unit with a monitor and such.

Indirect fire is not something that you put on the model, it's there to represent the Basilisk taking fire coordinates from the front lines and sending shells to the directed locations.

There really is no need at all to change the model to represent this, however if you really felt the need to I would just add a vox caster.

I know that it is crew training that represents it...

I just wanted to do something about ACTUALLY representing it on the model.

Throw a vox guy in there then, that would be the best way to convey that they're taking coordinates from forward spotters.

Model the gun up.

If the gun points skyward as if it's lobbing shells at a target several miles away, it has Indirect Fire.

If the gun is down as if firing over sights, it does not have Indirect Fire.

That's an easy way of doing it.

if you wanted an over the top modelling challenge you could go old school WW1 style with a spotter in a hot air balloon or a guy in a high chair like the ones life guards sit in
