Default Low Budget

Greetings.
I just regesterd (Stankov is the name of my heroic senior officer; rules and fluff posted soon) and I have a big question. I manage an approximately 2000 point army, 6 tanks, and no subscription to WD. My army is part Valhallan, but mostly Cadian for troops. I center most of my cash on tanks lately, but my friend calls me a cheesehead. With my meager budget, what do I get next? i was thinking maybe Fast attack or elite. help!

throw in some sentinals. They are very under-rated, and highly useful, and best of all, they're cheap!

But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!

Thats quite a selection there. If you want to be really mean save up for a Baneblade if not go with Mortis and get a few sentinals. They really are worth it. http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=6902.0 Have a look here for ideas and reasoning on sentinals.

If you want more troops get an armoured fist squad for that Chimera.
If you wish for another tank get a Hell Hound.Always great for a fast and deadly piece of equiptment that packs a major punch!! :P

Thats about all i can think of. When Wargamer comes back he may be able to shed some light on the subject.

Don't tell me that you fell for the MTV lie?
The MTV lie is that people who rebel against tradition are thnking for themselves, while those who follow tradition are just sheep who do not think.
It is, of course, completely untrue. The decision to follow tradition is just as much an exercize of free will as is the decision to depart from it.
