Default OK Guard Players, answer a question for me.

This popped up in a game today, regarding taking indirect fire on a Bassie:

Are you still allowed to direct fire your bassie, without the 36" minimum range?

Yes, as long as you have LOS to your target.

So, if I have an enemy unit 24" away, and I have indirect fire, I can hit it so long as I can see it correct?

Mmmkkk...

Then I was cheated by a misinterpretation of the rules.

Yes the rules say that the crew "can" be trained to fire indirectly, not saying that they have to.

The earthshaker cannon is like the missile launcher; it has two firing modes.

Direct Fire is 0-120".
Indirect Fire is 36-240".

You declare which you're using before measuring, rolling to hit and so on.
