Default Brigannion Liberators [The Steelbreakers]

Suddenly had inspiration for a group of Regiments designed to relieve Brigannion IV [the "Planet Of Steel", 5th Ed Chaos Codex].

If it were to use doctrines, I'd say:
- Cyber enhancement (GI 6+ Invulnerable save) for increased chances against the mass of heavy weaponry they will face
- Heavy weapon platoons for breaking down walls, tanks
- Conscripts for the miles of no-mans land
- Maybe chem-inhalers, storm troopers, ogryns, enginseers, that sort of thing.

Ranks
Lord Commmander commands the Battlegroup (50 Regiments)
High command staff, senior Reg/Company commanders (not all regimental commanders are part of this council-like grouping)

Regimental Commander: General/Colenel* (Heroic Senior Officer upgraded) [General being in the high command staff]
Company Commander: Major/Captain (Plain HSO or Senior Officer) [Major being in the high command staff]

*It should be noted that the Colenels from this world work as a higher rank than those from Cadia and in the Tactica Imperium.

Lieutenant (Junior Officer)
Lance-Corporal (Sergeant)
(Command Infantryman [One of the 4 guardsmen in a field command squad])
Infantryman (Guardsmen)

High Command
  • Lord Commander, Lieffen Hal
  • High General, Gideon Ryan
  • High General, Bryan Elsya
  • Lord Commissar, Fen Ventris
  • Regiment Generals
  • Company Majors
1st Regiment, Commander: General Janton Turbion
  • Infantry companies
  • Grenadiers/Stormtrooper companies

2nd Regiment, Commander: Colonel Philion Ucosis
  • Infantry companies
  • Conscript companies (known as "boots")*
*They clear minefields...

3rd Regiment, Commander: Colonel Abraham Haevaris
  • Infantry companies
  • Some mechanized comapnies

4st Regiment, Commander: General Hieken Ryan
  • Armoured companies (Conquerors, Exterminators, Demolishers)
  • Heavy armour companies (Shadowswords, Stormblades)

5st Regiment, Commander: Colonel Val Myantis
  • Mechanized regiment

6th Regiment, Commander: General Zacharius Foulsalt
  • 4 Artillery companies
  • 12 Siege specialist companies
  • 8 Long-range Armour companies (Vanquishers)
Just some ideas. Let me know what ya think.

EDIT: Major/colenel thing, yeah...

EDIT: Those are supposed to be Regiments, not companies. No wonder I was confused

I like the idea, only technicality I can think of off the top of my head is that a Colonel (O-6) out ranks a Major (O-4). Just a thought

I'm just going to say this, scrap the doctrines.

As in one month and a week they're gone anyways.

I'm not using the doctrines, I just put them as an example as to special rules that could be applied in-game.

"SteelBreakers" is the name given to the Liberator's Storm Troopers, much like Kasrkin is the name for Cadian Storm Troopers.

4 Regiments of the Terrax Guard and an unusally large amount of Commissars have been incorporated into the battlegroup. Strangley, no members of the Ecclesiarchy (none at all) have been assimilated. As for the reason, who knows of yet, but bizzare speculation is not unheard during the ranks while they wait for the start of this Campaign.

Infantry-Conscript Regiments = 20
Infantry-Mechanized Regiments = 6
Armoured Regiments = 7
Artillery Regiments= 10
Infantry-Steelbreakers Regiments = 3
Terrax Guard Regiments = 3 Infantry, 1 Armoured
Total = 50

Default Brigannion Liberators/Steelbreakers CAMPAIGN

Campaign

Scoring system. Measure how many of the enemy you killed compared to your own points value. This represents a force committed to taking a toll on the enemy at any cost, one where survival is not as important as annihalation of the foe.

Example:

3000 points (including seperate detathcments) of Liberators kills 606 points of Iron Warriors = (202/1000) = 20.2% of their own force. Round to the nearest whole number (20%). The Liberators score 20 points.

3000 points (including seperate detachments) of Liberators kills only 203 points of Liberators (67.6r=/1000) = 6.76r% of their own force... rounding = 7%. The Iron Warriors score 7 points.

However, the Iron Warriors denied the Liberators from an objective, worth 50 points (some objectives are worth more or less) - so the Iron Warriors score 57pts.
[hr]
Scenario 1: Planetfall

1st Regiment, Companies 1 and 5.

Liberators army consists of:
100 Stormtroopers [10 squads of 10] worth up to a total of 1500 points (including transports and upgrades)
1-2 HQ Platoons worth up a total of 1500 points

Traitor army consists of:
Two detatchments, each worth up to 1500 points and using 1-2 HQ, 2-6 Troops, 0-3 Elites, 0-2 Fast attack and 1-4 Heavy Support. No damons may be used except Princes, Obliterators and posessed (as these are Iron Warriors with warp mutation or abilities).

The map must is set up as so:

Scenario 2: No-mans land

Liberators army consists of up to 2000 points of conscripts (organised into as many platoons as you want), and up to 1000 points of a normal Imperial Guard army.

The map is set up like so:
