Default Super- Heavy Tanks Variant Info

So for those that don't know yet here are the variations that will be coming in the forthcoming kit.

DOOMHAMMER
sacrifices the power of a longer ranged weapon to add a modest transport capacity.
It is armed with a MAGMA CANNON

BANEHAMMER
Its cannon fires massive shells and explode only after they have burrowed deep underground.
Its is armed with a TREMOR CANNON. It also has the ability to slow enemys down. Enemys hit by the blast struggle to move in the following phase.

BANESWORD
Very few of these varients exist. Its QUAKE CANNON has a range of 180".
STORMSWORD

The Stormsword was originally a field conversion of the Shadowsword, using a salvaged chassis and a new weapon. Its STORMSWORD CANNON has a range of 36".

SHADOWSWORD
Throughout the history of the Imperium, The SHADOWSWORD tanks have proven to be the bain of enermy Titans. Its VOLCANO CANNON has a range of 120"

STORMLORD
The STORMLORDs devastating close-range firepower and vast transport capacity makes it sought after by the most mobile Imperial Guard Regiments. Its VULCAN MEGA-BOLTER has a range of 60"

Hopefully this should help you decide which way to go with your super heavy tank/tanks.

I am still not sure but I think it will be a STORMLORD for me.

Post edited 18/02 15:15 Weapon stats removed. Its all in WD out next week.

Hmm...the new ones just scream "gimmicky" to me for the most part. It's like they just thought - "well, let's just think of a ridiculously high strength and ap, pick a random mahoosive template to go with it and think up some random fluff justification". Plus the model for the Doomhammer in Febuary's WD looked ludicrously ugly. Stormlord looks interesting though, but I'll wait till I see the model to pass judgement on it.

Regardless of whether or not the information has been plucked out of the latest White Dwarf, you're still posting copyrighted stats and could get Tau Online in trouble. Flagged for mods.

No need to mention how you flagged it. You kinda come off in a poor light.

The only superheavies Guard should get right now are the IA ones. We don't need a bazillion different superheavies when the other armies don't have a remotely equal number.

And i thought i was doing everyone a favor :'(
However you do see stats everywhere on these forums so I thought maybe not so much of a problem

This topic I just picked at random as being an example

Not your fault Joey...it is a little different when you list them out for some reason. Discussing them isn't as bad I guess, never understood that myself. Either way I am kind of interested to see the stats on them. Sounds like the BANEHAMMER might be cool, act something like the Thundefire Shells that cause tremors, make them move through difficult terrain on their turn. I still stand firm that I am going to build the STORMSOWRD and magnet the SHADOWSWORD gun on it...especially since I took the time to mod a STORMLORD after the reload release :-\.

Post edited 18/02 15:15 Weapon stats removed but feel free to PM me for any extra info. Its all in WD out next week.
WD is not a free publication, and offering to distribute information via PM is still a breach of copyright.

Reported again.

No, he set a good example of how members are supposed to handle situations that could get this website in trouble.

Thanks for the info Joey, just avoid stats posting altogether in future. Thanks.

Gonna lock this now, no further discussion needed on this.
