Autocannons, they have a good Str, same range as the lascannon, and a high number of shots meaning your almost guarateed a hit per autocannon shooting.
Here, I'll go through the various weapons.

Autocannons
Range: Same range as the lascannon or the missile launcher, not much to say
Strength: Good strength, will wound marines on a 2+ and can take down light vehcles easily. Rhinos, trukks, eldar/dark eldar vehicles
AP: Will penetrate anything aside from power armour, can take down stormtroopers easily
# of shots: With 2 shots each this is where the autocannon gains it's power as you almost always guarnateed a hit
My best choice, one squad of three will almost always pay for themselves over the course of the game.

Lascannons
Range: See autocannon
Strength: Highest strength in your arsenal of heavyweapons, good for taking down, monsterous creatures, heavily armoured vehicles, heavy infantry, TEQ
AP: will penetrate all forms of armour, your only ap 2 weapon available to the standard guardsman
# of shots: Only one in two will hit on average, meaning you'd better make your shots count
I use a squad of 3 they target heavy infantry near my line, or vehicles too far away for my infantry to reach.
Missile Launcher
Range: see autocanno
Strength: Good strength can damage all armour, instant deaths marines, all around weapon. Blast option is handy alows you to target multiple models with one shot, even better with 5th ed.
AP: will penetrate power armour, guaranteeing and easy kill, blast is good against tightly packed, weak hoards, orks, nids.
# of shots: see lascannon
I don't use these very often, prefering for more specialisation, the most flexibal of them all

Heavy Bolter

Range: shotest of the five still decent to provide support
Strength: good for wounding weak T3 models, can still put wounds on MEQ pretty easily
AP: Once again, good for targeting hoards, but no much more
#of shots: the most shots, once again good for taking on hoards
My personal favourite, I take three squads witha heavy bolter in each and sit them on an objective to shoot any guys they can draw LOS

Mortar

Range: see autocannon, can fire over obstacles
Strength: will wound MEQs on a 4+, good on T3 models and hoards
AP: Good to take out hoards, orks nids, but not much else
# of shots: you don't need to hit (which is handy) meaning you'll always do something 1/3 of the time, watch for scatter on your own models
I don't use these, may be handy for cityfight.

I'd probably go 3 autocanons, 1 Missile Launcher for the tactical flexibility, or just magnetise so you can mix and match.

True that might help me out against those big enemies, and all the infantry i'm playing should take care of the rest.

I'd say a pair of autocannons, a heavy bolter for extra hoard killing, and a missile launcher to pwn vehicles or a few boyz.

I try to put Mortars in my command squads, because I like to keep them behind terrain so they don't get shot at. Other than that I try to put AC's in my troop squads and take lascannon support squads.

Mortars are fun, but I'm not sure if multiple barage weapons make an efect on pinning (eac additional one causes -1 to pinning test)

They don't cause an additional effect, but each weapon is capable of forcing a pinning check. I often use a mortar support squad in larger point games, it's only 80 points and is a good way to hit those units your enemy is trying to hide behind los.

Can you take mortars in squad sort of things? Like Lobbas or eldar support weapons? Because I thought multi-barage weapons caused an addition -1 to leadership for each additional artillary piece/mortar/barrage weapon in the squad?
