Default Trying to pick from two different armies. Need Help

Hi there, I was looking into making an Armored Company but don't know where to start. Also i am looking into Forge worlds Death Korps of Krieg. Any ideas where i should start for both of those armies or which one should i rather choose? ???

Why not both? A Mechanized DKoK Army. FW stuff is pretty expensive so reducing the model count might be a good choice

Oh snap. Your right lol. That would be a great idea. Have a mechanized DKoK army. Can't believe i didn't think of that.

Another question is if i was to do an Armored Company, where do i find the rules to play them?

Well, depends. Armored Company is all about having Tanks so it might not be so hot in the 5th Edition, where you need Infantry from your Troop Choice to capture objectives. You might need to have a look at the Imperial Armor Books for DKoK if it were possible to make a Mechanized DKoK otherwise just use the normal Guard Codex.

Ok, cool thanks for the advice Zen. =) I really appreciate it. I already have started on a regular guard army and was looking into my future guard army. Guy's in gas mask FTW =D.

Off-topic: What does FTW mean? Is it rude... *dissaproving looks*

Anyways, there's a picture in the (sadly no longer legal) armoured company codex of an armoured fist squad - with gas masks - looking a bit like the Kriegsters...

Inspiration?? ;D

FTW = For the Win!

And to the image, those are Armageddon Steel Legionaries. Slightly different from DKoK. And that image can be found in the current Guard Codex.

If you have the funds or a job, I'd think about purchasing DKoK, but they are expensive (and awesome models) - as Zenai pointed out. So what I'd do is buy them in stages instead of buying the lot and finding out you've got too many models to glue and paint, which could be a pain if you really want to get them done quickly and play with them. And it'll be a lot of models since they're Imperial Guard, hurrah! ;D

In stages, I mean:

1# HQ
2# Troops
3# Elites
4# Fast Attack
5# Heavy Support

So for every stage you complete, move on to the next one.
