Default Which Super heavy variant

As Described by GW

Imperial Guard Shadowsword/Stormlord The Shadowsword is one of the longest-serving super-heavy tanks in the service of the Imperium, and it is armed with one of the most devastating weapons known to man - the Titan slaying volcano cannon.

The Stormlord is armed with a Vulcan mega-bolter giving it unparalleled anti-infantry firepower. This coupled with a large transport capacity makes it popular with commanders who favour mobility over traditional static formations.

This box set contains one large multi-part plastic super-heavy tank. Included are all the components need to assemble one of six super-heavy variants: the Shadowlord, the Stormlord, the Doomhammer, the Banesword, the Banehammer, or the Stormsword.

So with so many choices which way are you going to build yours ?

Me I am thinking stormlord, Those 15 str 6 ap 3 shots at 60" sound wonderful.

Personally I like the Shadowsword because nothing says "kiss my d'yi" like a really big gun!

The Stormsword has always been really kick D'yi to me and my city fighting regiment. So having it available in plastic is just TOO cool. I will have to get one of those.. my vote goes there.

Baneblade = the king of all-rounders. Good at most ranges, but not very specialised.
Hellhammer = A close-range toaster with one nice big turret gun.
[hr]
Shadowsword = A titanhunter that is baaad at everything else
Stormblade = One with a sodding great plasma cannon which has a huge blast and lots of damage.
Stormsword = Hellhammer, but with different sponsons and a much, much bigger gun (blast is twice the size)
Stormlord = A transport with a 15-shot anti-infantry gun. Nice, but not superb.
Others:
Banesword = has what looks like a shadowsword gun.
Banehammer/Doomhammer = Transports with very similiar guns...

My favourites are the Stormblade (plasma boom) and Stormsword (ultra urban boom).... I'd have to vote stormsword

I almost always face massed vehicles, and at least a titan in apoc, I'm building a Shadowsword for my army. Str D on an armoured spearhead. >

Well, assuming by Shadowlord you mean Shadowsword, that's my vote

But mainly to supplement my other tanks and the like, I have plenty of infantry and tank killing power, but sadly I lack when it comes to Super-heavy killing. This should be the last piece of the puzzle as it were.

o.O Have fun paying back the mortgage for those Icer

And I kinda lied I suppose, I'm going to see if there is any way that I can magnetize the kit to get both the stormlord and the shadowsword out of it. Several people have already expressed doubts about not only my ability to do it, but also whether it is even possible. Including the local store manager who has the experience of having built the store's promotional one. But we shall see

Why use the shadowsword as a spearhead when it has such a long range? 180" is longer than most things. Why send it forwards when it can sit at the back and blast away...
