Default Armored Company, Legal?

Thinking about starting a Armored Company, I know I wouldnt be able to capture objectives which is why I would be using Grey Knight auxillaries but Im wondering if its still legal and if anyone knows if GW is going to keep or scrap it.

No. Technically the Armored Company list is no longer legal. However, if the rumors are correct, you should be able to field a fairly decent armored group with the new codex.

Aye. Sadly the Armoured Company is no longer legal.
It was called out of use at a larger tournament some time ago. (To several participants great annoyance...)
But as Aureus wrote, rumors has it that it will be lots of armoured goodness in the new codex

I can't decide between an infantry company or an armoured company. I currently have a box of 3 tanks...

(off of ebay, title in item said I would get 10 RAGHR they refused to take it back, paypal said we'd get refund if we paid postage costs.... which are ridiculous so no)...

...and really, really, want to use the armoured company. I think there should be a rule where "It cannot be used in tournaments, but until it is replaced with an actual alternative,(which CURRENTLY there is not) then in a friendly game the opponent cannot not let you use it.)

'Cos come on, how many players are gonna face me, (who they already know win 95% of all the battles I play ;D literally) using 6 or so tanks?

And, sorry, I don't really want to wait until summer 2010 (when the new codex is coming out) to be able to decide what to do with these three flipping tanks.

Nooooo! I wanted the armoured company to be legal! It's not fair.

Don't you wink at me you cheesey little gue'saal!

Yes, but it'll cost you £3.40 per infantry model and £46.20 per tank.

Postage is £320 per volumetric millimetre multiplied by the time it takes me to wrap it in bubblewrap (£850 per sheet)

So... fancy a hastily wrapped fire warrior for £785.40?

Sorry, I wouldn't pay that much even if they were painted by a Golden Demon winner.

But hey, since you are quitting and getting out of the hobby, maybe we can work out a deal?

Seriously though, maybe you should wait to see what is in store for the Imperial Guard with the new codex? And in the meantime, if you want to field 6 tanks (i.e. not chimeras or hellhounds), there's always Apocalypse. That's where everyone who thinks it isn't fair that the Baneblade they bought isn't allowed in normal play goes. Nobody would even bat an eye at 6 Leman Russ tanks.
