OK, so I got my 14th Loss today. I was wondering if this is normal and that learning curve for Guard is very, very hard or I am playing the wrong way?

We'd need a few details to help.

Are you using the same list? If so please provide it.

Terrain? With Guard it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Opponents? Level of playing ability + meta game can easily give wins away.

Any specific things you've noticed in the games? Stuff like bad dice rolls for you, good for opponent, etc.

We do need a bit more detail, but all shooty/tank armies have taken a big hit.
No matter how much GW bigs up no consolidation, it doesn't make up for the 2 rounds of shooting we lose due to the opponents running, and the rear armour strikes.

I lost my first few games but nothing like that, course you could be facing better opponents than I do, that or I'm just luckier(if you ask most people that I game with they'd say the latter).

but anything specific... yeah we'd need more info.

It seems (to me) to be a fairly large learning curve.

I've been using this list as of late.

Following my local store's Tournament rule on Terrain now; No Terrain in the middle; mid-point of table and 12" all-around.

CV's Mechanized Armies and a Hybrid Ork list who I think played a few months more than me.

Nope, just some good scatter rolls.

E.g. An Ork Boyz Mob get into assault with 4 Squads beat them all in combat and I have to roll double 1's to pass my leadeship.

Well Zen, there is a saying that I heard before when I first started playing Warhammer; you will lose your first 20-30 battles before you first win.

Honestly I lost more than that when I first started, closer to 35 battles. But as you lose, you will know what is wrong with your lists and also tactics, and strive to perfect your style of playing. So just keep on playing and you will have your first victory.

Ah, then is it normal :P Well, list; there's nothing wrong. The fundamentals stuff is there. Tactic; I need to concentrate on the objectives :P

YOu can always do the Smart Barbarian tactic: Kill first, takeobjectives if possible.

Works for me half of the time.
