Default Mobile Infantry: Yeah, babe! (Ignore the last part. I love Starship Troopers)

Right, I know I should be taking this with a lot of salt but I'm sure you guys saw the release schedule here.

Right, onto the question: Does the Imperial Guard sanctioned 'Mobile Infantry'? I mean those regiments allowed the use of Valkyries, Fast Vehicles, Light Infantry and Drop Troop elements.

I'm sorry if this were asked before. I did a search but it doesn't really answer my question. Thanks in advance.

Mobile Infantry as its namesake is represented by all Chimera mounted troops - the mobile infantry of Starship Troopers (Film) are better represented by drop troops, who arrive on the battlefield by rappelling out of hovering Vakyries, or jump from them using grav repellers - look at Taros, when the Elysian Drop troops took the water station.

Of course, this will change a lot when you get the option of Valkyries as a transport, as rather than just an abstract drop trooper army, you can either go for a high altitude/low oxygen force (Droppers, assuming its still in the rules) or an Airborne infantry force using low altitude/vehicle supported force (much like the aforementioned Elysians) using the new valkyries.

I would assume so Zenny.

But Rafe... HALO Jumpers are way more Hardcore than Air Assault/Air Cav are.

Never said they weren't - most IG Droppers or storm troopers are trained for both kinds of entrance

Nah ODST's were even cooler. They were one of the few AI units that could actually keep up .

Anyway the Elysians are a perfect example of Drop Troops. Mobile Infantry on the other hand makes me think of Mechanised Regiments, but there isn't really an equivalent in Warhammer 40k for the MI Armor Suits, Sentinels are as close as you can get I suppose.

Thats because the ODST's were like the coolest thing ever, better even than Sanghelli.

Which is why I am in love with the new game coming out "yay!"

Actually I see a stronger link to the Marines from Aliens. Just compare the Marines from Halo 1 with the Marines in Aliens, its almost a direct copy.
