I've had a soft spot in my heart for Ogryns since the golden days of Space Marine, and the opportunity to field a 40k army of mostly Ogryns is now available in the form of Feral Ogryns as a Toops.
If I take Feral Ogryns as my required 2 Troops choices (full squads), and 1 Elite Ogryns squad; what else should I take alongside them? |

Feral ogrens you mean regular men with certian doctrines?

No, in WD302 One of the new Abhuman options is Feral Ogryns. No ripper gun, but two CCWs instead for a slight increase in points cost. And they count as a Troops choice.

I had a mate who decided on a fully fledged ogryn army!
it was feral ogryns as troops a squad of bone eads as HQ and noraml ogryns as Elites. for a fast attack unit he just took normal sentinals but modeled orks as the drivers so they looked like ogryns

have your orgryns rush forward, and use stormtroopers or massed infantry to cover their a** as they clear the objective

HSO with Commissar will be valuable for keeping the Ogryns in line... and potenitally adding extra hitting power (a well-tooled command squad can hurt in assault).
Aside from that... consider Heavy Weapon squads to provide supporting fire.
