Default Praetorians woes

I finally get some extra coin to spend on my IG force, head over to the local hobbyshop with my list of things to buy; 3 praetorian autocannons, some sgt models and some infantry models......
Come to find out...oh yeah they discontined my beloved army.

So at this point I reckon I have the following options; 1, Ebay (lately nothing realy good as far as preatorians) 2, convert mordians (at which point I have to pray to the holy emperor that he may bless me with the conversion skills of Col. Gravis) and lastly I go rogue and find me a sculptor.

I don't understand why GW would discontinue that line, they are always so popular...gah!!!!

Sorry just had to vent

But seriously, a Guardsman, I'm willing to bet, could a) outshoot me, b) give me the beating of my life, and c) shove more squad-based tactics down my throat than I'd ever care to digest. Guard are hard, hard men. Whether or not GW's inconsistent, Marine-worshipping fluff keeps with that, mkay?

Real men fight in tanks!

Yea, Bulldog. They havn't been around for a good 5 maybe more years man.

Ebay will be your best bet. If not talk to Gravis, he might know where to get some.

What? No I've been able to bit order praetorians and they used to be on the classic range site too. I last order I did was in May.

It's always a good idea to just check out the rumors area, dude.

Games Workshop discontinued the bitz orders, so that means your game store can no longer get the bitz for Preatorians. Talk to Gravis or Aun Leketh (Spelt wrong, probably) to see if they can get you a sculptor or tell you where to get the models from.

Aye Praetorians were available direct from GW until fairly recently when they reorganised the Bits service - now they have relisted many of the classic Regiments but alas no Praetorians - though a few people who have spoken to Mail Order Staff suggest that they may still return.

Ebay really is your best bet, surprisingly the prices hav'nt jumped horrendously with the complete end of sales, thoguh they are a little up, unfortunately it does often mean waiting for what you want thoguh that wait is'nt usually too long, theres a fairly constant flow of models being listed with only a few off weeks.

Converting Mordians is very much an option, as will be the Phoenix Club once I get enough time to finish the job, so much to do, so little time to do it all :P
