Default commisar execution

If a squad fails a morale test, and it contains a commisar, and there is no sergant, can the commisar execute a squad member still?

Well it is difficult to fail a morale test since the commissar is leading and you will use his leadership, but I believe the rule is that the Guardsmen frag the commissar. Correct me if I'm wrong, I still don't have my codex back yet. >

That should be a Catachan thing. But I'm afraid that is wrong. I know the codex doesn't say, but the FAQ does:

[quote]
If a Commissar is with a unit that does not have an Officer or Sargeant leading it, the Summary Execution rule means the unit will take one casualty before it passes the morale test.

Yeah, you cannont kill the commissar when he leads the squad, no self respecting commissar would kill himself, he needs to inspire his men to fight and if they see him without a pair and kill himself then that is not very fluffy for a commissars duty.

Mods- I think the question has been answered, some one could lock this if they feel fit it needs to be.

The question has been answered. Another wound is taken by the squad automatically.
