The 67th Rogar were engaged in an extended campaign against Tau insurgents on the remote colony of Tiana Tertius. Most of their force consisted of "Rail-Cannons", massive carriage-mounted artillery guns that could be moved on the rail networks of the planet. Unfortunately, Battery 3 came under heavy attack by a Tau strike-force as Trojan teams worked to recover the immobilised and trapped weapons from the shattered tracks. Knowing they could not escape, the Rogar deployed their guns and prepared for a final stand. This was the force that faced the Tau...

Troops:
Trojan Alpha.
45pts.

Trojan Beta.
45pts.

Trojan Gamma.
45pts.

Heavy Support:
Gun Alpha.
Earthshaker Platfrom with Carriage.
80pts.

Gun Beta.
Earthshaker Platfrom with Carriage.
80pts.

Gun Gamma.
Earthshaker Platfrom with Carriage.
80pts.

Total: 375pts.

Tactics for this army are, frankly, non-existent. None of my vehicles really stands a chance of surviving enemy fire, so I've just got to hope the Earthshakers can blow some big holes in the enemy!

Oh, and bear one thing in mind before you comment; this is a themed list, I'm not really after combat-efficiency. May up it to 1000pts later.

The only problem i see is that in combat patrol a smart person does not clump their army up especially in combat patrol. I don't see this as effective in combat patrol to be honest.

Sod it... ah well, I'll just bulk it up to 1000pts... later.

Well, 3 large blast templates can hurt alot against a 400 pts army! Aim well though!!! Quite a challenging army! BTW, why 3 trojans with 3 platforms instead of 3 basiliks?

Because, fluffwise, the Earthshaker platforms are supposed to be railguns. The Trojans were sent to recover them, and were ambushed by Tau whilst retreating with the guns... hence I use Earthshaker Platforms; they can't move without Trojan assistance.

Plus the Basilisk is crap.

*updates his IG fluff file in his brain* Thanks! And i also realise that with trojans and platforms, you have 6 targets instead of just 3 which is a good thing! At least the trojans can lay support fire with the hull mounted HB.

Do you plan to add griffons inf the near future for that army? WOuld be a nice addition IMO for that army... the Trojans and platforms were trying to survive, shelling the inomming Tau... thing were looking bad when suddenly, one of the Tau vehicle turned into a large fireball, but it wasn't the work of the 3 platforms... out of the wood (or any other natural environement), Imperial griffons appeared. They recieved the distress call from the platform teams and came at full speed to support them.

How's that?
