Death Korps question

Default Death Korps question

I am hoping to start a Death Korps army, and I was wondering if their organization for a troop choice is the same or different than regular (1 JO, 20 men)?

Yep, the Death Korps have the same organization as any other Regiment.

Ah, didn't know, thanks! I just wasn't sure, seeing as they are FW. Do they have any other special rules?

Vanilla Korps have no special rules, other than the doctrines in the back of the IG codex. However, IA5 has details on alternative DK armies, such as siege regiments, and fancy things such as the Thudd gun and the artillery platforms, for which you need IA5 to know the rules for.

Right, I was going to use IA:5 because I figured there would be something else. But does that have special rules (not about vehicles)? Thanks!

It does yes, IA:5 offers an alternative army list for Krieg Siege Regiments which varies significantly from the Codex IG list with additional units (such as Thudd Guns and Heavy Mortars), some units removed (such as Armoured Fist Squads and Abhumans), others altered (such as for example Grenadiers, and Roughriders (which become Death Riders)), its a nice list all in all though be aware that as FW it is often not tourny legal, and other may decline to play it - you may be better off ensuring you have a IG Codex force first then maybe look at having IA5 as an alternative?
