Default Ogryn Sub.

Alright, I know GW just came out with a great new line of Ogryns (I was about to say beautiful new line, but I remembered what I'm talking about >.> ), but, for nearly 20$ a model.... cmon..

I'm wondering if anyone out there has ideas for Ogryn substitutes. I may end up making a mould of them and resin casting it, but that's if all else fails/is the most economical thing to do.

If you do not mind the pose and a heap of conversion to do, then I would suggest going with the Ogre Leadbelchers or some other Ogre squad.

Here is an article by GW on converting warhammer Ogres to 40k Ogryn.

I third the "Ogre Kingdoms > Ogryn" convo myself. It doesn't even have to be as complex as they make it, actually... depends on how picky you are about the models and the "need" to greenstuff a modern-looking model.

For example, ogres have gutplates, which everyone suggests covering up. I'd rather just replace the OK Great Maw sigil on them with a 40k one, gutplates are awesome.

from double post

I should also add I am amused in a bitter way that their convo instructions tell you which bitz parts to order.

They no longer sell bitz, so it's kind of a big eff you to the reader. :

Edit by the mods:Please don't double post. The modify button is there for a reason. Please re-read the forum rules if necessary.
