Default Jungle-fighter Antitank

Since Junglefighter units cannot take lascannons, but can take heavy flamers, my question is as follows:

Does a Jungle-fighter anti-tank squad replace its option to take a Lascannon with a Heavy Flamer?

(the idea is to create a throwaway burny unit)

no you cannot take heavy flamers in a heavy weapon squad

you can't take lascannons is the tradeoff for getting the option of taking heavy flamers. but nowhere does is say that heavy flamers replace lascannons

*looks it up to make sure*
also it states that Infantry squads may take a heavy flamer instead of a heavy weapon.

as for anti tank squads, the only thing you can have in them is 3 missile launchers and only missile launchers

hope this answers you question

That's assuming, of course, if you give your anti-tank squads the Jungle Fighters doctrine. You don't have to.

That's not the point; I wanted to create an infiltrating firebreathing squad of doom that wasn't a Command Squad...if I want anti-tank then I would use two squads of Autocannon teams deployed opposite each other for side-armor purposes.

Bleh, I missed that part. Yeah, it looks like you are pretty much stuck with a command squad for that. Do you have the Catachan codex? There might be some option for you in there to get your flame unit o' doom.

The Catachan has a Demolition Pack that does the job.

Thanks for contributing nothing...considering any army can take demo charges if it has access to Demolition Squads...besides, they don't even fulfill the same tactical niche, the heavy flamers being intended for flushing units out of cover which for some reason or another a demo-charge allows saves for...

Actually, The Demo Pack has a AP 2, Strength 8, Large Blast Tempelate. The withdraw part is that counts as a Ordance and only one shot. Plus, the title include Antitank.

Except if you had happened to read the actual post you'd know that the question had nothing to do with how Catachans can take down tanks.
