Default Regimental standard question

OK, now that may seem obvious. I always assumed that with Regimental Standard, the enemy takes one extra wound/casaulty (with no saves of any kind allowed) but I started to have doubts recently; maybe they simply take an extra wound which, as usual, can be saved normally (since they do not write that it can't)?

um hate to disappoint you. It doesn't cause any extra wounds. you just get one extra point of combat resolution.

You just count as causeing an extra wound no extra wounds are accually caused

In case you don't follow, what that fellas are saying is that the unit is only treated as having scored an additional wound for the purposes of determining the combat winner (and therefore which unit, if either, will be required to take a morale test etc.).

P.S. - Since when is 'CR' an abreviation in common usage, Geekygator? You just trying to confuse him more?!

Yea, totally. Actually I think that it got into my head from Warhammer Fantasy- there, Combat Resolution is a really big thing and all.

Only that? I would have never suspected that such a rather petty thing could cost as much as a Powerfist. Well, another gizmo to be scrapped off the roster then, in my oppinion. What is it good for, swarming the enemy and making them run / take extra wounds? Does anybody of you use the Regimental Standard?
