Default Guard and Nunz vs Guard and Guard

Hey guys! I could use some advice right about now.

My own guard along with my mates sisters of battle will be taking on Aun Lekeths preatorians and his friends guard.

I need advice, tactics or useful units to use in this battle. The battle will be someitme in the future, but I want to have time to model anything nessisary for the battle.

My guard for this battle will be (not official though) a full company of inducted storm troopers to go along with my friends sisters of battle and inquisitor. So that means I am taking the grenadiers doctrine, for a maximum of six storm trooper squads! That would be nice =)

As for a list of what I have:
71 Imperial guard (including random flamers and grenade launchers, which if not used count as lasguns) These models can also be used for veterans or storm troopers due to loads of bitz and conversions on some of them
2 plasma gunners
1 Officer model (With others being taken from normal guardsmen conversions)
2 leman Russes (Lascannons, sponsons optional)
1 Kommodo (Custom vehicle very similar to a sisters of battle immolator with multi-meltas OR a counts-as hellhount)
1 Chimera with autocannon and heavy bolter.

Heavy weapons: 3 mortars, 3 possible missile launchers, Up to six tripod weapons (Heavy bolters, autocannon or lascannons) except one autocannon will be used in my chimera conversion.)

I have no idea what the two guard armies will consist of that I am facing, so I need general tactics and unit help.

So far my team mate has 1 immolator (Flamers?) a good number of sisters of battle an inquisitor and his homies, 5 (I think) seraphim and some other things like retributors.

Any and all help appreciated!

The The Russes, and as many Storm Troopers as you can, AP 5 will help. If you take specials make the squads specific, IE give one all anti-infantry, and one anti-tank etc. Missile Launchers, take them, Plus Las, take those as heavy weapon squads in your Command Platoon. Motars, in this game, will be neccessary. As for the Chimera, give it to either a anti-tank or anti-infantry squad and rush it twards the enemy lines first turn, give it smokes.

Alright, so I should aim for as many stormies as possible? Yeah, AP5 means they don't get a save, and from normal guns I'll survive half the time I'm hurt! So my real priority is taking the heavy weapons into really good cover, correct? Or else they won't last long...

What weapons are anti-infantry for storm troopers? I only have two plasmas, but I can just free-hand 'plasma' on the base or something.

I have 5 ratlings as well, if those would help...

As for tactics, i am thinking infiltrate those stormies that I can (The elite ones) and everything rushes to get into range. Tanks and HW stay far back and give cover. Hellhound goes on one flank while the chimera goes down the other.

If I ger permission I will use my 'hellhound' as what it is meant for, a twin-linked multi-melta transport for 8 troopers, which could help a bunch...

So a mortar team in the HQ would be a good thing to have, right? Plus a fire support team (heavy bolters) and a lascannon team, or what?

Thats not nice, turning the guard board against me like this! For the record, you shoudn't need much anti tank.

Storm Troopers can take Flamers, so there comes your anti-infantry. I would take the mortars as a squad in the Command Platoon, that way you can have three dropping down on the same target without having to use more than one squad and wasting shots. Then get some heavy bolters or autocannons and use them to take out their heavy weapons.

The Snipers will also come in handy in that aspect, use them to cause pinning checks, you know that Guard leadership, use it to your advantage.

You do know your telling him how to kill ME right? he can't possibly take enough firepower!

Take Lots of heavy Bolters, and some lascannons. And possibly some Missile Launchers, if you are streched for points.

Otherwise, take lots of infantry, though the Sisters will tear you to shreds no matter what.

Yeah, Aun. You might want to take some anti-tank.... ;D

Plus heavy bolters are just as good against sisters as autocannons, you wound on twos anyway and they still get a save, so you might as well pump out more shots.

Also, you might want to take some armour yourself...

If he has an inquisitor use death cult assassins with and Eversor they can chew through just about everything.
