Default Starting a new Regiment

I am starting up guard here eventually, after reading the first omnibus to Ghaunts Ghosts, and I read over a regiment name that I want to use for my regiment. HogSkull regiment. I just like the name. So I figures I am going to start guard soon, and have selected five doctrines for them. I dont have my spare guard codex with me, so I was wondering if this combination of doctrines are legal, or is any combination would be illegal.

heavy weapons platoons

special weapons squads ( I have a question about this, how exactly does it work? I just selected it because I thought it sounded good, and after I actually find out, I might change.)

Sharp Shooters

Carapece Armour

Cameleoline

I don't see anything about light infantry in there... :-\ ... and if I understand correctly, he was inspired to start Guard from Gaunt's Ghosts, but it is not a Guant's Ghost regiment.

that he did
special weapons squads are simply squads with six men in it, with 3 having the ability to take either a grenade launcher, melta gun, sniper, flamer and demolition charge. Though most of them cost more then if you are buying it for normal troops :-\

Yup, inspiration and the name of the regiment I am going to use came from the Gaunts Ghost book. And thanks for clearing up the special weapons thing, I might change it, who knows. Also what got me going was seeing the 10 strong leman russ tank box and I eventually, some day want to get it. So thanks for the clearing up, and one last thing, do you have any suggestions on what I might change the special weapons for?

who knows, you didnt give us any fluff but if you want elite soliders i recomend hardend fighters as sharp shooters is not always worth it.

Judging from your posts, i would recommend doctrines that allow you to take additional unit choices, like Veterans or Stormtroopers, maybe even Ogryns or Ratlings if you like those kind of things. Or you could go assault and give them all warrior weapons. And then there are those mundane but invaluable doctrines like Close Order Drill or Iron Discipline... Damn, just get a codex and choose

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...
